Drooling over the new Mustang...
Joe Handley replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I'm not surprised that this could be an issue with them, seems like a tricky roof to work one into. Personally, if I was going to screw up my car's rigidity, CG, and water tightness, I'd rather be cruising in a full on convertable (make it a hideaway hardtop please ) than just having some hole cut in the roof that will take away from headroom as well. -

Technically, it has round headlights, they're just projectors now. -
Drooling over the new Mustang...

I know the feeling Harry, when my Sister was looking for her Challenger Riverfront had an all black inside and out, V-6/9-Speed/AWD 2015 200S on the lot and all I could think was I wish I could afford to bring it home and park it next to my 2012 200 Touring and XJ......not like we have the room for that too though. -
This is just ridiculous!
Joe Handley replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
My 200 has TPMS on it and that set up works nicely! Once I select the screen on the cluster it will give me an estimate of each tire's pressure and will automatically self adjust after a tire rotation, just got to drive at a consistant speed for little while so the onboard computer can figure out where the tires are now. What I despise is the stability control on tje car, it's sometimes to easy to set off and there is some thought that it might be causing slick road stability issues with the cars in conjuntio with the toe it on slick, winter roads. You can thank Ford for both of those too, if they just built the first decades worth of Explorers so the didn't roll do easily and reccomend tire pressure lower that Firestone felt safe for the tires, we wouldn't "need" those -
My experience has been that Prius owners aren't so bad, now the rest of the Toyota appliances and the people who operate them.............

Will GM's problems ever end?
Joe Handley replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Only government induced trouble I might see is that GM can't get away with stuff as easily as they once could, be it intended or through incompetence. If Barro is trying to fix GM, I wish her luck, she will likely need it. If it won't be the old guard getting in her way (wonder if the was given the job to be a sacrifical lamb as much as a CEO), regulators, advocats, and lawyers, causing problems, then there's the possible sales losses from this.......even though they are actually trying to fix the things that are going wrong with the vehicles................. -
Had a lady yell at me today for selling her a Jada Toys R/C Lambo that was missing the controller then telling her I couldn't take it back because she didn't buy it from us, as we don't carry the qny Jada products, let alone that car. Then buy the Maisto R/C Lambo I had shown her when she was in a couple weeks back because she needed the birthday gift today.

Them Duke Boys are back (mini movie)

I'm wondering how quickly one of the Maisto diecasts were stripped for a build. -

My Mom was in a place like that for a couple weeks last month and Dad was there every day, nearly all day with her. My Kid Sister and I went out for at least 30min to visit her on nearly every day (work got in the way twice, third time was when Lil' Sis decided to find a Challenger and I met her at the dealer) even though the drive took anywhere from 30min to 60+ minutes depending on where you were going from and the time of day. There were a number of people I never saw visitors for, including Mom's room mate, and one of the few I saw more than once was complaining about the long drive, yet lives closer than we do......how you can complain about something like that when your parent is basically in a nursing home, I just don't know.................

Lol, could have used that many, many times over my time in retail!

I agree with Harry, looks good on it!

I'll have to look again Charlie, but I think some of the tire manufacturers are still making all season tires in our sizes, but while I'm using a P-Metric All Terrain on my XJ, you might still be able to find a P-Metric truck tire that is more car like in a similar size. I know Goodyear had more pavement biased light truck tire that was about the size you need a nukber of years ago........the Goodyear dealer goofed up and put them on my truck by accident and didn't realize it until I pointed out to them the tires were wrong in all but manufacturer and size!

Alternatives to toxic glues?
Joe Handley replied to modelcars87's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
There are foam safe CA's, those are also supposed to be good for folks that are allergic to the stuff. -
Well, compared to the Charger my sister just traded off, it's about 7:8.......park it next to a Smart car, that becomes more like 2:1

Is that a Giordano's ad?

Wonder what the guys with the Shelby-Dodge/Turbo Dodge stuff do now then, I think a lot of those ran speed rated 225/50r15's, if not from the factory, as an upgrade from stock sizes. I'm kinda wondering how hard it will be to find 235/75r15's for my Jeep before long too.

Well, at least the lack of humidity has to come in handy for painting!
