  1. I heard that and the possibility of more snow....................my words had the inititals of J.F.C. The first and last letters are of a religious nature, the middle...........anything but.
  2. That looks vaugely Monogram like.
  3. Just dealing with simple R/C electronics can give me head aches, that and the Charger look to be head implosion territory...........I'll try not to show those to a friend of mine that is an automotive electrical wiz.
  4. I wouldn't even do that to a FWD or one of the newer 4dr Chargers.
  5. Auto Reverse AND 5 band equalizer, that was pretty hot stuff for a factory stereo back then.............Can you imagine the mental meltdown if somebody who hadn't even seen an in car record player saw what even some of the more basic multimedia systems can do now?! After I got the 200, Dad wished the company trucks he had through C&NW back in the 70's and 80's had at least tape players let alone CD player, Hard Drive, and Sat. Radio in particular when he had to go out west of Omaha for work.
  6. Very true Peter, very true!
  7. Left work 2 hours early with that I think is the flu yesterday, still kinda feeling it, just not near as bad.
  8. Even though it could have been a bit better, I though the Thunderflite was overall better looking effort than this Riv.
  9. I've been having issues with my knees, feet, and back lately. Feet are fairly easy to figure out why, I'm fat, work retail, and have shoes that are completely blow out. Knees, not sure, some of it could be the above, but Mom has a bunch of leg issues and Dad and I have to help her get out of chairs and I think I might be moving wrong while trying to get her out of those chairs and causing the knee as well as back problems beyond what the shoes are responsible for. Wouldn't be surprised if this weather is to blame too. I've actually started looking for jobs where I don't have to be on my feet all day now too.
  10. I can honestly say I've yet.to eat a White Castle Slider, but then again, I prefer my food to sit around and stick with me for a while after I eat it.
  11. Yeah, that car doesn't really tick the "Hate to see it go, but love to watch it leave." box for me.
  12. I kinda have a hard time thinking of Mercedes as musclecars too. Now those Australian built bruisers though, I put those on par with our best and brutal muscle cars!
  13. Now this is what I think lf when I hear Custom Riviera"thumbsup" Or even most of these"thumbsup" custom '64 Riviera - Google Search
  14. I've thought about the same when it comes to using the tech from Chrysler's Pentastar V-6 on Chrysler proposed DOHC Hemi from the late 60's. When you can get a naturally asperated 283-305hp out of a 220 inch motor that can get over 20mpg in just about every vehicle it comes in and is daily driver reliable, what could it do for that monster?! Think about it, lighter aluminum block and heads, variable valve timing on all 4 cams, the ability to self tune for different octanes (from 87 octane pump regular to 105 octane E85), and such on an engine that already is a complete monster in just the original 60's tech and OHV form.............that could be an unholy monster to unleash on the street or track.
  15. Where's the Like Button for Brett's post..................
  16. I don't think anybody is knocking the execution or build quality or the car, to win the Riddler Award that has to be out of this world....................it's the design that kills it for many of us, myself included. Now had it been an A-Body Buick instead of a Riviera that had recieved this level of work (except for the Boat Tail Riv roof portion, that would have been a bad idea there too!), it would have been awesome......just on a classic, already well thought out design like that generation of Riviera, doing anything more that cleaning up the original design or accentuating it ruins the look of the car, especially when you throw Stingray fender scoops, GT40 cooling scoops to the hood, that chin spoiler that just doesn't fit the car, those big bronze wheels just don't look right (I personally just couldn't go more than 18" and even that would only be to fit bigger brakes on it), and in all honesty, I don't even like the Chrome Yellow paint. Just kinda ruined the classy nature of the car by doing that to it.
  17. Glad I'm not the only one who dislikes the style of build.
  18. I won't lie, I'm almost afraid to take my 200 down some of these roads here since it has the factory installed 18's and has 4 wheel independant suspension........ not too worried about my Jeep as it still rolls on 15's with nearly 29" tall A/T's and has 2 solid axles, although it almost needs to be set up as a pre-runner/JeepSpeed rig to run Rt. 38 west of St. Charles/Geneva right now....................
  19. Interesting..............but is anybody wondering what cult they're with?
  20. Like Brett pointed out, not only would that cover his PT Cruiser, but it would more accurately, at least, cover the '85 Lebaron GTS and '88 Shadow ES I had ( 132ci I-4 with 146hp in both, the GTS was the equivalent of an Intermediate and the Shadow was lighter still) and even moreso with my '12 200 Touring (220ci V-6 with 283hp in what could also be argued to be an intermediate.............and should be able to run a legit mid 14 sec quarter mile.)
  21. Just got a call from my store's new owners, I gotta get there asap, leaving shortly!
  22. His Slash is probably set up like my 2wd Stampede, when I bought it 15 years ago, it wouldn't do 20mph without a swift kick down hill, now I can be rolling at 40mph and peg it, and if I'm lucky, I might have one of the wheely bar wheels on the ground and might still be pointed the the direction I had been originally going..............although it's usually more like a Fuel Altered, go full throttle and it's off the ground, sideways, and not always with the chassis closer to the ground than the body
  23. 4 Months? Hope it will be spring by then.
  24. Wasn't it Ed Pink that said something like "Horsepower sells cars, Torque wins races."
