The cars don't turn into balls of mangled tin during a wreck. -
I got 82%, the FoMoCos and Firebirds threw me a bit. I didn't see any new cars in the quiz though............

Sounds like we'll be upwards of 30's this weekend and might see 50's next!

I was wondering the same thing, that little thing would be a monster with any of the SHO motors in them...........wonder if it would be possible to put one of those SHO motors in each end............. -
Sounds like a typical UPS/FedEx job, only way to ensure thst a box won't get crunched is to either not put a "Fragile" label on it, or put a LiPo battery fire warning label on it......

What do you drive?

I've heard that a few too many times on VW's any more too. Sounds like if you get an actual German built one, they're good, but if they're built anywhere, not so much......kinda to the point they're either fantastic or a lemon. One of the guys that used to go on the Cherokee owners forum I still visit had a neighbor who alwys talked up about how great his VW's and Audi's were compared to the American vehicles like the '98 Cherokee like this guy had and was always quick to come over and gloat when the Jeep was up in the air or had the hood up (until he found out it was undergoing things like oil changes, tire rotations, brake service, basic maintenence stuff......and was over 200k miles) while this guy thouht at one point his neighbor had just given up bought a tow truck to haul the VW and Audi to the dealer himself and cut out a middle man during one of the many times they were broken. Another member had a more recent diesel VW and had so many issues with it she finally lemon lawed it and bought a Nissan Leaf as a daily driver when those first dropped (has been more reliable from what I understand too!) and saved her XJ for a trail/need a truck for the job at hand rig. -

They're giving these away at the Chicago Auto Show, but only to kids that are present. -
Don't remind us Mike I had seen that on CNN this morning for Atlanta too.

Ah, the "Flatbill" set and I believe their trucks are referred to as "Brodozers" heard about them but luckily don't really see them here. I will admit though, some of those suspension goodies would come in handy on my Jeep right now..............our paved roads are back to being rather rough.

Geez, looks like one of those cheezy, gold plated Racing Champion Die Casts from the late 90's too. -
I had heard the west coast got hit by the Pineapple Express and was getting some much needed moisture.

Now I have to go out and look at my kid Sister's '06 SE to see what way the console vent actually sits! -
That truck is a ready to run Axial SCX-10 with an officially licensed 4dr Jeep Wrangler Rubicon body. "Officially" they're considered 1/10 scale, but depending on the body and rolling stock, they could probably be considered 1/8th scale if you broke out the ruler and calculator. There's a lot of what I call "fuzzy math" in R/C, you can take several "1/10" scale vehicles, and they might work out to anything from 1/8 to 1/12. I think that plow is made by RC4WD and IIRC, it costs nearly as much as that Jeep does!

And yet, we've been getting 2-3 times as much per week for over a month now and it's been spaced out by 0ยบ temps and have been more annoyed by it than anything else. I have heard that there are conspiracy theories coming out of that area that it wasn't real snow, but "Another Act of Northern Aggression"........................

Seems like we got enough to shut down any state south of the Mason-Dixon line............again.

Heck, the way this winter has been, we're one day closer to our next cold snap too............and that's a whole lot closer than spring or next winter!
-
And we're getting more snow............

I've seen that Ford in person, it looks even cooler in the tin!

I've heard that line too Richard, plus living in Suburban Chicago I still want to know why my 16 year old 190hp Jeep Cherokee costs nearly as much to insure as my 2 year old 283+ horse Chrysler 200 sedan for the exact same coverage and being registered at the same house and to the same driver, with the same insurer using almost all of the same discounts. Outside of vehicle features, I can't think of any good reasons. My 200 has 6 airbags (no windbags though, I avoid those radio stations ), Traction Control, Stability Control, Anti-lock Brakes, and factory alarm. The Jeep has 2 airbags (and the same windbag count), full time 4wd (wish it had a limited slip rear too though), power steering, power brakes, and it's old enough and has enough miles that an alarm is probably no longer necessary..................

Cragar Daytona wheels
Joe Handley replied to Sportabout's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Rock Crawlers? you might look to see if there are more modern NASCAR kit rims in the appropriate diameter and narrowing those to work. A bunch of the r/c scale truck builders running 1.9" rims usually use HPI's 1/10 1.9"x26mm (1" wide) "Stock Car" touring car wheels on their rigs to replicate those wheels, don't see why NASCAR kit rims wouldn't work for replicating those wheels in 1/24-1/25 scale too. -
I wish I could have Nick!
