  1. Unless it's an epicly awesome car.......probably pretty horrific!
  2. I don't see how hard that could be either, especially if they're making other changes to the station. I downloaded an alternitive fuel station locator app for my phone (the Pentastar V-6's are flex fuel) and beleive it or not, there are two electric charging stations closer to me in West Chicago than the two closest E-85 stations! If I want to put E-85 in the 200, I actually have to leave Dupage County for Kane (none of which are near work of course), Cook, or DeKalb Counties I'd be surprised if they hadn't already started doing so for batteries that big. There's a company we dohandle battery recycling through takes all types of rechargeables.
  3. That's where cars like the Volt have the advantage, while they don't have the all electric range, that little gasoline generator helps fix that little problem. All electric like that really isn't viable unless you want the ability to brag for having something.
  4. I don't beleive that's really guarded since it is basically motor vehicle code and has been longer than many of us have been alive.
  5. I read somewhere that the Renault platform (apparently inherited through AMC) that the LH cars were built on was like that. That's supposedly why the Charger Concept Car was built on the second gen Intrepid and had the slinky, low nosed, cab forward aero look.
  6. Today I'd have been thrilled if people weren't driving like they got their licenses out of a Cracker Jack box let alone just using there turn signals! By the time Dad and I got home, I was wishing I could have taken my Jeep instead of the 200.................
  7. Normally I don't either, but I saw a wreck on the way home from work friday that defied that ability. A mid sized FWD sedan was crammed under the back of a KJ Jeep Liberty. When I came up on the wreck, traffic had been detoured around it and by the time I came back around and saw what happened, all I was able to see was a front 3/4 view of both vehicles. Obviously, the KJ was easy to spot being a Jeep and all, but I have no idea what hit it. I knew it wasn's a '07-12 Chrysler or Dodge (roofline is a dead giveaway on those) and I'm pretty sure it wasn't a Ford or Korean sedan judging by the body lines. I figure it had to be either a GM or or some sort of Japanese mid sized sedan.....and of course it was also painted just plain old white like the appliance that it probably is which didn't help one bit....................
  8. Let me know if you do!
  9. The Titanium Nitride coated hing pins I ordered for my Tamiya 1/10 Mini Cooper finally came in, so now I can start to rebuild the trans and suspension. I also went and picked up the plates for my 200 too!
  10. If they can make this new Barracuda so it's close in size and weight to my 200 but with rear or all wheel drive and with the lower output motor like the 200's, it should be pretty impressive as a daily driver/cruiser. As strong running as the Pentastar is in the 200's (far as I can tell, the sedans are solid 14 second cars with 14.38 with the Mopar intake and exhaust being the quickest I know of) make it RWD or AWD and strap a couple haidriers to one, this could be the formula for an absolute monster of a street car!
  11. 35 years old and laughed immediately here, thank god for reruns!
  12. I hadn't heard that Fiat was down at the same time, but it had been mentioned that their profits hadn't been this good in 13 years..........interesting that was about the time Daimler took over that their sales started to go down.........
  13. It looks good, is thAt the same tooling used for the Daisy Duke's CJ Dixie?
  14. So did I, but mine was Black and I think the graphics were Green or Red with grey interior.
  15. I'm liking that one in white primered convertible too, was that Hirohata inspired by chance?
  16. I gotta agree, only problem is that the leather just one of those seats are covered in would like cost more than my Jeep is worth
  17. I keep reading that Peter, especially from those who've actually owned these and have driven both as well as independant reviewers who don't seem to necessarily rely on other automaker sponsorship.....errrrr.....advertising. Even then, those reviewers seem to be impressed with the improvement in the 200 vs. the Sebring, one even found the mileage wasn't far off the Korean turbo twins that run the smaller, lower hp turbo 4's!
  18. You've never driven a 89-91 Cherokee with the Bendix 4 Wheel ABS O_o
  19. For the most part, drive my Jeep Once I replace that radiator.............
  20. Took a few night pics of the 200 tonight, I've got nearly 600 miles on it so far and have only had it two and a half weeks I still have some work to do when it comes to shooting night pics with my Cannon Powershot SX120 IS, the pictures that are the clearer ones were taken with my Galaxy S2 smartphone
  21. Sounds like typical Jeep brakes, they just slow you down, not necessarily stop you.....especially with their early ABS system That said, the brass 3 row radiator in mine decided to spring a leak and the shop I bought it at can't get them any more........guess it'll be going back to a stock aluminum and plastic replacement...........good thing those are only $120 I guess..........
  22. Must be a whole lot better climate the the ones we live in Rob! The climate here can be all over the place througout the year, must just be the heat out your way.
  23. The one in mine is #3 since I bought it in '03, the one that was in it when I bought it looked to be factory and was replaced in '04 when I decided it was old enough that it might not last the winter and my last battery was in the same shape when I bought the newest one.
  24. Think I'd rather have a SRT-8 Grand Cherokee, or at least put a stroked I-6 with a Cummins sourced Holeset turbo in my XJ
