Are those cylinders the tapered bore pinch type like the non ringed radio control ones are? I've seen several ofcthose that were so far gone that the piston went all the way through the sleeve......also seen a couple there the rod split at the little end and punched through the top of the piston and another there the truck was run in sand without any kind of filter, there was glass imbeded in the top of the piston and that and the sleeve looked like your's!

And that's from the guy that wrote it too, it was about the Model A he built from a wrecked Lincoln.....which might have also been his too, can't remember for sure.....

Supposedly the Camry now has 92% US parts content, although I'll have to call bs in the most America over the last 5 years, at least for last year. http://wot.motortrend.com/top-cars-north-american-parts-content-67627.html I'm guessing that tsunami probably hurt Toyota and Honda enough they decided to make more parts here. I'm kind of curious if these lists are just the United States or North America , including Canada and Mexico, as a whole.

I remember those ads, been a loooooong time now. I think the new Nickey Camaros are being built somewhere near here, a friend of mine was working for the Firestone on the north end of St. Charles for a while the Nickey brought their cars to that shop for alighnment work prior to being shipped out.
