  1. Ordered a new bed from Wayfair to replace the one I've had for a couple decades now and went to look into putting it together this weekend and they not only sent the wrong bed, but it's the wrong brand, name, and frame design.
  2. At this point, that would be easier to refill.
  3. Congrats Tom, I hit that number of the side of Richard Petty's and Ken Block's race cars the same day
  4. I aways figure it this way, I could be getting lied to from either side, each one has a narrative to push and may overstate the good whileunderstating, if not hiding the bad while the other is hyping the bad and trying to scare me away from even looking at anything related to the other side of the coin, even if there are viable options out there.
  5. Been thinking about buying one of these kits after running across this on Instagram................................
  6. That's a nice build, did you use any reference material for it?
  7. Just got a text from my friend in MI with the 3 cats, he's just been offered a special needs teacher's assistant job with a $3.00+ per hour increase in pay over his current graveyard shift gas station job! Orientation starts next week for him!
  8. I still want one of these, it's not only the the Dodge version of my first car, but the '87 models are legit Shelby built cars modified by Shelby's people in Whittier, CA!
  9. Dave Deal.........that's why these cars all have such a familar look to them! Wonder what other Pixar movies he's been involved in now.....

  11. I'd be willing to bet some Testors Revvin Red would be about spot on there, maybe their decal maker to make the white backed decals and Corvette Cove on the sides.
  12. I'm not going to lie, the Radiator Springs/Cruisin' Lightning McQueen is my favorite.
  13. I can't wait to see if the aftermarket is going to come up with alternative parts and decals for this kit, plenty of choices in the 3 movies as well as all the Mater's Tall Tales car toon shorts for build ideas. Found someplace that might work for reference material too! https://cars.disney.com/ as well as........... https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0317219/ https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1216475/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1 https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3606752/?ref_=ttmi_tt https://www.google.com/search?q=cars+movie&safe=active&client=firefox-b-1-d&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjb_qzq_aHkAhVObKwKHUhsAZkQ_AUIEigC&biw=1366&bih=654
  14. LOL, you two gave me a good laugh with these posts this morning?
  15. I bought it here when I stopped by to get some parts for my Traxxas 4-Tec 2.0 that had been damaged over the last few weeks of Friday Night Beatings. https://www.leisurehours.com/ They only wanted $22.49 for it, if they keep them ion stock, I may look at more whenever I go back to get more parts for my cars.
  16. I'm glad they did, I wanted one as soon as I heard about it before the whole Great Planes mess fully took hold and knew the place I bought it from had a couple when I went down to buy some R/C car parts (last few Fridays have been......destructive for my friend and I?) and may have to pick up more as I go back for more R/C parts............
  17. Saw 2 different 50's Packards at the same intersection today, including a Caribbean!
  18. Picked up this kit earlier today. It's 1/24 scale and has fairly decent engine and chassis detail for a snapper, Not as good as the Caprice/Impala SS or the 4th Gen Camaro/Trans Am kits from the 90's, but very good when you take into consideration it's based on a Disney/PIXAR movie character vs a real car. This is just an overall pic of what's in the box including 46 parts molded in color, peel and stick as well as waterslide decals, and a good instruction booklet! Now on to the meat and potatoes! Starting with the body, hood and rear underpan are separate as are Lightening's pearly whites and side/back glass inserts which are bagged with the pad printed tires and molded in body color wheels, respectively. Now on to the chassis, again, not bad for a snap model of a cartoon character, even though it's not as great, as say, any of their NASCAR glue kits. Forgot to shoot what would be an interior tub, or maybe a brain pan in this case, but the chassis it molded separate from it, as is the rear suspension, decent front suspension, engine, w/plugwires and front mounted distributor, and basic looking intake manifold/throttle body (looks like it might be have TBI) ......may have to research that further. Should be interesting to see of there is any kit bashing with any of the Revell/Monogram NASCAR kits from years past in the future for any of these kits! Finally, the "Stickers", Revell saw fit to include both peel and stick for the kiddos and waterslide for the kids at heart. only complaint I have is that Lightening's trademarked chromed fender lightening bolts are printed in a dull grey instead on both sheets.
  19. I started this one a while ago, thought it might make an interesting mild custom................ Really need to finish it though....................
  20. Let's just hope that this C-Barge isn't used by somebody designing the kit, roof appears chopped and last I checked, they weren't 4wd and didn't have leaf springs supporting a live axle with a sheetmetal center section......
  21. The video that the Vette picture is taken from is part of this article, I think that appliance in front of the Ranger has it's right rear corner sitting on that guardrail, on top of the left rear corner ripped off the vehicle.
  22. Well, that is pre-production, so that could be a GM Employee or a "journalist" of some sort, plus it on a twisty mountain road, I wouldn't be shocked if the driver of that appliance crossover isn't exactly innocent here.
  23. There's more ProStreet Fieros out there than I expected https://www.google.com/search?q=pro+street+pontiac+fiero&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjCtvDj9PHjAhUJPa0KHaP6CXQQ_AUIBigB&biw=360&bih=560#spf=1565220514599
  24. No pictures, but I think I saw a Fiat X-1/9widebody project in primer and on sawhorses in somebody's garage when I was on lunch today Next time I go over to RestoPaint, I'll have to ask Miguel if he knows anything about it since it's in a subdivision and almost right between his store and my office!
  25. Not sure, but if it ran on Ethanol, would that make it a cannibal?
