  1. The over-riding mystery of GSL: What happened to John Teresi's beard????? Inquiring minds want to know . . . (maybe). What exactly happened that night?
  2. It was great seeing you again, Tom! Sorry we left some beer undrunk in SLC!
  3. Cars: Beautiful. Close ups of Chris: Not beautiful.
  4. Chris Sobak answer to Chris Sobak Test: 'Not yet, I'm hoping for next year.'
  5. Everything is so heavily weathered the trim looks the same as the body. If you look closely, you can see the slight contrast at the very front tip of the side spear, and along the tops of the fender fins. But, it is not obvious.
  6. Ding! Ding! Ding! What do I win? What do I win? Oh, wait. I already won. Had a chance to visit mano-y-mano with Tom at GSL! (We don't get that opportunity all that often.)
  7. Hey, Greg! Cactus Carmodelers meeting next Wednesday. Don't be a stranger. You have a lot of friends looking forward to seeing you and your latest projects!!
  8. So, where did the red paint on the fin trim come from? Ramblers didn't have taillights on the fins. Otherwise, nice.
  9. Steve, It was great to meet you and visit some at GSL. Hope to see you again, at XXVI or even at DSC12 in April!

Outstanding! Best figure work (and best figure on the figure) I've seen in a long, long time!
  11. That's Tom hisownself.
  12. Sweet ride! Great job on the cylinder head.
  13. Thank you! That turned out to be such a special project! The guys and gals of Moonlight Modelers and I were overwhelmed by the response from everyone at GSL. We're all so proud to have been able to rescue and preserve the Cobras for all time. Glad you enjoyed them! Sorry there just wasn't enough time in the 4 days to spend more visiting and swapping stories, tips, and lies! See you in 2017!
  14. Fabrizio, I'm sorry we didn't get a chance to connect and visit!! It was just so hectic and my special little project ended up taking a lot more time away from socializing than I expected. But otherwise, it was all good -- no, great!! We'll have to make it a point to get together and visit next time - 2017! Loved all your models!! You bring another dimension to the tables . . . especially your steam punk mono-cycle! There was just so much going on and so many great people to spend time with . . . To convert an old phrase; So many friends (old and new and yet-to-be), so little time. See you in 2017!
  15. Chris, Thanks for posting the great pix, buddy! I really enjoyed seeing how much you enjoyed it! And, congratulations on your wins . . . first time out!
  16. Was disappointed to not see the Moebius people and their upcoming kits at the 25th GSL.
  17. I was privileged to see this build at DSC last month and again last weekend at GSL. It bankrupts the vocabulary. It is spectacular . . . and it has truly earned the word 'awesome!' I didn't get much of a chance to talk with Randy at DSC and we were both so busy at GSL that we didn't get an opportunity to visit. But all the GSL attendees were blown away by Randy's wrecker and his GT40 project.
  18. Chris is probably still celebrating! His funny car drew legions of admirers at the project table and he was busy all weekend discussing it with admirers. Additionally, his altered took a 3rd Place award and his dragster won its class against some stiff competition! He got quite an ovation. He may not come back down to Earth for weeks!
  19. See y'all Friday . . . or late tomorrow night, depending on traffic! And, traffic coppers.
  20. It's one of my favorite GSL memories! Guido truly had MSG fooled! The reaction when the masquerade was unveiled was priceless!! Oh, where were cell phone videos then???
