  1. Looks very good. But watch, somebody will squawk about whitewalls on a COPO.
  2. Ditto. And, I think it sits a little too high to be a credible custom ~ especially 60's style.
  3. Why?
  4. Nice. That kit builds up nicely without a lot of effort.
  5. Who cares what brand name it is? Most savvy builders know the genesis of re-issues; the internet and magazine reviews will enlighten those who don't know but might care; and the remaining potential consumers won't care a whit.
  6. Beautiful. Add me to the list of buyers that would love to see a Moebius 1/25 kit of this automobile. (Yes, I know it won't happen.)
  7. Re: Harry's last post ("Quote" feature not working today). And, all of that "good business sense" builds capital reserves (for a company that was virtually penniless a couple of years ago) with which they will eventually be able to afford to invest in new tools. It's all good. For the naysayers, it's also important to remember you can be 'victimized' by repackaged older kits ONLY IF (1) that's the way you choose to look at it and (2) only if you buy them.
  8. Good observations, Curt. While the best is yet to come, it's important to remember how much better things are than they once were.
  9. I saw the short-lived posted test shot pix that Art put up. The wait will be well worthwhile!!! This series of kits looks fantastic!
  10. Beautiful pair! {And, I don't often say that to men!}
  11. Nice!
  12. The beacons in the '70 Ford are much too small and misshapen to replicate the four-beam Unity Spitfire. The lightbar in the '70 Ford is a gutter-mount Federal Visabar, and the beacons in that kit are poor representations of two-beam Federal 14 units. I say the kit parts are poor and misshapen because they have way too much taper ~~ they are grossly more conical than the real things.
  13. All of these ideas and suggestions and guesses are good and valid. There probably is no single 'right' answer; they are probably all part of the equation. And, as others have said, as long as it means old kits previously thought lost to time are re-issued and available again, it's all good!!
  14. Nice . . . twice!
  15. I agree with Mr. Jordan. A minimum bid is a 'reserve' whether it is stated as a 'starting bid,' 'opening bid,' 'minimum bid,' or 'reserve.' EBay's system is a passive reserve any way you look at it.
  16. Prolific, huh? Good looking stable of builds.
  17. Art, That makes perfect sense. The way the grilles were arranged on the sprue tree in the picture, didn't look like they could be easily separated out for individual issues. But that just goes to prove I'm the amateur and you're the pro! I'm all for as many versions as Moebius wants to issues.
  18. And, as Harry would know, times change and the styles that attract attention ~ and therefore sell ~ evolve. Different box art may attract new buyers as well as enticing old buyers to invest again in old, familiar kits. Either way, repackaging "freshens" old product. It's marketing.
