  1. What's a "came?"
  2. Mmmmmmm. New project it is. From the Southwest Force it comes. Model-Jedi Theresi and Obi-Wann Caster the Master team up they do. The Force with us it is. Excitement comes it shall.
  3. Museums and Halls of Fame are all about history and evolution. They're not about what's happening today at the mall, the arcade, the skateboard park, or the phantasy world of cyber-gaming. That's just how it is. The "big" builders of all eras are represented there. The "big" builders of today and tomorrow will be there. Patience, Grasshopper.
  4. Excellent!
  5. Very nice.
  6. Yep. Sinister!
  7. Interesting idea.
  8. Nice.
  9. Hey, Tom! I had missed this thread, but saw your post elsewhere. Started a new thread without seeing this one ~ oops. {I'm posting this here instead of putting it in the 'spotlight' - primarily because the recent posting filter "upgrades" won't consistently recognize my profile. I've given up the struggle with it and now just 'lurk' there.} Anyway, I digress. I like your new project but have some thoughts . . . and in the spirit of your request for input, please consider these ideas. I like the track nose and the 'caps. But, I would drop the nose a little ~ just so it's slightly lower than the cowl - not much, just slightly. I'd drop those headlights to just above the frame rails. Then I'd narrow the bumper by cutting the horizontal face bar at the outside edges of the bumper guards. And, finally, I'd invert the resulting 'bobbed' bumper so that the bumper guards drop down from the face bar rather than extending upward as they do in your mockup. I just think those adjustments would visually lower the frontal mass without physically altering the traditional chassis. And, I think they might add some unexpected/uncommon styling cues (especially the inverted bumper guards). Just ~ as you said ~ some thoughts as to how I would do it. Looking forward to your decisions and the outcome of your plan. Happy Thanksgiving!
  10. Good job.
  11. Kent, Your basic premise is faulty. There already is a museum and a "hall of fame." You are apparently unaware of the International Model Car Builders Museum and Education Foundation, based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Check it out: http://themodelcarmuseum.org/
  12. Nice.
  13. My dog is constantly solicited to vote a certain party's way and to donate to their fundraising. No idea how that happened, he's not even registered. We help him reply that he's not interested because he's a Re-PUP-ican, and that seems to slow down the mail ~ until the next election. Last time, however, we mailed in a Milk-Bone campaign contribution and never heard back from them.
  14. Like most gimmick cars and "alternative-motive" cars, Tesla is a flash in the pan. And in the driveway, in Tesla's case. And in the garage. And on the street. And . . .
  15. Actually, the convertible should be shiny . . . as it is. However, the convertible top boot shouldn't be shiny - they are generally vinyl and should be semi-gloss to satin finish at best. Very nice build, Al! I love your vintage factory stock builds.
  16. Yeah. It's down the street.
  17. I've been doing that for years. Drives the Lovely and Gracious Mrs. B nuts . . . but that's because she's so gracious. Actually what I do is stuff competitors' garbage into the postage-paid envelope. For example, if ABC Bank solicits us, then I'll stuff XYZ Bank's solicitations into ABC's envelope and vice-versa. At least as best I can, depending on what junk mail I have available at the time. Little-known fact: the solicitor who sends you postage-paid envelope has to pay postage only if the envelope is used. Thus, if you throw away the envelope, they're out nothing. If you send in their envelope, they have to pay for the postage by weight. Thus, stuff away!!! It's just a little act of defiance, but the more it costs them and the less return they get, the closer they'll get to abandoning the whole dang thing. The ones that really burn my backend are the crematoriums with their pay-now-burn-later scams. I REALLY don't need that kind of mail. I just DON'T need to be thinking about that right now!
  18. Nice save!
  19. Decent.
