  1. It wasn't a particularly expensive camera but it was a doggone good camera! But, I've gotten many good years of service from it. Now it's back to the tedious task of camera shopping. It just sux that it had to go ten-toes-up right now. I have a couple of build-ups about 1/2 finished . . .
  2. Are you old enough to remember when new cars were hidden under tarps or covers or behind curtains on the showroom floor until "New Car Introduction Day"? Well, here's sort of a "Look What I Got Today" . . . 6 days late. Unfortunately, it's not quite 'Introduction Day' yet. The factory is busy cranking out some inventory before lifting the veil. But be patient . . . this one is well worth the wait! I garrohntee! But, seriously, look what followed me home last Wednesday. "New Model Introduction Day" Coming Very Soon at the Top Cop Shop in the Great Southwest. (PS: My "good" camera took a dive and is permanently 10-7. So, I resurrected an ancient one ~ please forgive the low resolution pic.)
  3. Cool.
  4. Very nice, but I'd suggest you slit the decals where they cross the door opening lines. Otherwise, the doors are taped shut! (it'll look better, actually).
  5. Greg, There's a plastic model swap meet, Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, 8:30 am to 1:30 pm at the Tucson FOP Lodge #1, 3445 N. Dodge Blvd., Tucson. Or, you may be referring to the dollies and kittens and toy-toys thing: Sep 21, 2013 Phoenix. Mary Anne’s Toy Fest, North Phoenix Baptist Church, 5757 N. Central Ave., 3652 Productions, 1805 N. 21st Place, Phoenix, AZ 85006, 602-267-9526, fax 602-267-0500, hwn864@cox.net, SH: 9am-2pm. You won't find the "toy fest" on Moonlight or Cactus websites because it is not focused on model cars, it is a commercial enterprise, and they don't pay either club for advertisement of their event.
  6. Very nice!
  7. Won't help. The decals have to lay down on a smooth surface. Chief Joseph hit the nail on the head: decals will not adhere to a rough surface such as that of a flat or matte finish. Can't fix it by putting clear over the top of the decals.
  8. Attn. Mr. Brad: Your order for a Chevrolet inline 6-cylinder vintage '58-'60 has been processed by the Danno Midnight Miniature Auto Supply Fulfillment Center and is ready for shipment via the next route truck to your neighborhood. Stand by for prompt delivery.
  9. Charlie, I can't swear to what equipment MA used in its '57 Fords, but most common law enforcement underhood units were Federal 28 or similar: Note the painted finish. This is the basic siren without a chrome housing. No need for fancy under the hood. The sirens in the JoHan Plymouths are exterior mounted sirens and include the "dressy" chrome housings that were not used underhood. As to the so-called spotlight in the kit, the answer to your first question is no. Not from what I can tell of the parts in the kit. You could use the spotlights from the JoHan Plymouths, but you need to remember that those spotlights were A-pillar mounted units while the spotlights on '57 Fords were mounted on the front fenders using different style brackets.
  10. The Duke boys go into the limousine business.
  11. Another couple of nominations from a different genre . . .
  12. Beautiful! Just needs a license plate and a mirror to be nearly perfect!
  13. Beautiful, nonetheless.
  14. Nice! But the headlamp bezels are too clean and shiny for that rig, IMHO.
  15. Most excellent!!
  16. Most excellent! Just because it's only driven in daylight doesn't mean it can't be a rainy day!
  17. Sweet.
