  1. Nice.
  2. In my small dehydrator (Nesco), I run about 95-100 degrees for styrene parts and bodies. I run it about 85 (lowest setting) for resin parts and bodies . . . too much more and resin can get soft. In my medium dehydrator (kitchen oven), the oven lamp only ~ no heating elements ~ gets the oven interior up to about 90 degrees. In my giant dehydrator (outdoors), it runs about 80-95 in the winter, 100-115 in the summer.

  4. My favorite part of the "golden olden days" is that they often literally drove licensed and registered, street-legal cars to the track ... taped over the headlamps ... and went racing! That's what I miss.
  5. Would it be fun to watch lap records at Daytona at 85 mph?
  6. R2Diesel?
  7. Just wait 'til Chris finishes this one! Then he has to try to top it! THAT will be epic.
  8. And, armor. Wow. I learned more about armor by osmosis while shopping when Karl was at the counter and wound up with one of the Fort Carson military modelers than hung out there. You couldn't help but hear him, he shared every morsel of info he had, and he KNEW his stuff! An amazing character.
  9. Largest Model Car and Truck (and Military and Figures) Flea Market in Phoenix!!!
  10. The "problem" hasn't escalated . . . the hubbub about it has escalated.
  11. Uhhhhh ... Tom. Mind if we just take your word for it?
  12. Nice model. Not so nice story.
  13. No kidding. Wonder what became of him?
  14. Three of my 5 favorite Corvette concepts of all time!
  15. The one in Westminster was Mizell's. It closed in July 2012. The one in Greeley was Don's. And I never missed a chance to browse The Caboose in Denver. Biggest and best train store ever! They always have TONS of goodies that can be used in car and truck modeling, as well as an incredible plethora of tools, electronics, paints, exotic adhesives and paints/finishing materials, and scratchbuilding supplies.
  16. Cool!
  17. Hey, Jason. I'm on board with you there. It galls me, too. But I've got to say . . . it's a generational thing. I see it all the time here ~ with the young officers, not much with the older officers. -BUT- It's not just the law enforcement officers, it's a lot ~ okay, most ~ of the younger people who have entered the motoring public since driver's education classes were abandoned. Not just signaling, but lane usage, and merging/yielding, too. The basic rules of the road, motoring skills, protocols, and courtesies that were taught to most if not all youngsters before they received licenses. Unfortunately, there isn't an emphasis or requirement for driver education training before they hit the streets. And, law enforcement personnel come from that same mass of people. Yes, I agree. It's aggravating. But I don't know what the "fix" is, because driver education ain't coming back. The public schools don't have enough money for driver education once they finish with political correctness and sensitivity training classes.
  18. Nice.
  19. Looking good! Looking forward to this one!
  20. I actually knew an attorney whose first name was "Spottswood." Mean parents, I think, although they used the excuse that it was an old family name. He struggled to be called by his middle name, but ornery friends insisted on calling him, "Spot."
