  1. My pleasure. Glad it was received in the spirit intended. Looking forward to seeing your future woodie wagons.
  2. There's an idea!
  3. Nice.
  4. Nice.
  5. Anybody needs to go to class for that? Seems like it's the standard these days.
  6. Lot of interesting things going on here! I'll have to dig out a gluebomb one of these days and see if I can do anything nearly as nice as you guys are doing!
  7. Played through? Finished? The rest of us haven't even reached the first tee yet.
  8. Ahhhh, yes. The age-old debate.
  9. Nice first effort, Luca! And, welcome to the MCM board. Best there is.
  10. Talk about highjacking a thread! Build on, John ... even if you choose to build your MODEL CAR with a plastic representation of a Briggs & Stratton, I'll be watching! Waiting for more modeling excellence to break through the clutter ...
  11. Good for you, Philo! People should not let criticism anger them ... anger is not a feeling that should even come into play. While the term "criticism" covers a lot of territory, most of the type of "criticism" seen on this board is constructive criticism ... offered in good faith / good spirit and meant to help the builder to improve skills/techniques or at least to consider other styles/approaches to building. From what I've seen, most of the "criticism" around here is intended as a positive suggestion or opinion, and not meant to hurt or anger or provoke the builders of the subjects of the "criticism." Unfortunately, the term "criticism" is also applied to attitudes of negativity. Very little of what is branded "criticism" is actually mean-spirited; however, it does happen. Frankly, I wouldn't even call that variety of commentary "criticism" ... instead it just seems to be provocation. In the vernacular of some local laws, it could be called "Fighting Words." Statements intended to provoke a combative, confrontative, angry response. It rarely happens, but when it does occur, it seems to immediately and predictably result in exactly the intended reaction ~ anger. And the anger feeds and escalates the verbal combat and ... fighting words. So, your refusal to be angered by any variety of "criticism" is precisely the adult approach ... accept the positive, constructive criticism for what it is and learn from it as you see fit ... and ignore the negative provocative 'fighting words' veiled in the sheep's clothing of "criticism" so as not to fed the anger kitty. Would that everyone takes the same approach! Then, there'd be no 'lockdowns.'
  12. Joe, Most of us sit around in awe of guys like Brad and Chris and Lanny Haas and some other awesome AZ builders ... but you'll have to make plans to come down in April 2012 for our big show ... Desert Scale Classic ... April 21, 2012. We also have a couple others ... Goodguys Southwest Nationals on the third weekend of November every year and Goodguys Spring Nationals on the second weekend of March every year. Lots of action at all three! And, it's not far for you Vegas guys to come ... a generally pleasant drive at that. Come see us, but make sure to introduce yourself!
  13. Sweet.
  14. Holy Hudson, Batman!! Move the Batmobile kit over, the Fabulous Hornet is almost here!
  15. 1. You just did. 2. Sometimes somethings are just too obvious. 3. Good job!
  16. Whoa, Nelly ... fabulous work, Chris! You and Brad are certainly driving up the bar for us mere mortals here on the local playing ground!! Keep the creativity coming!!
  17. Yikes! Them Road Eyelanders named a whole city after them ciggerettes!?!?!?!?! Remember: There's hardly any difference between DONK and DORK ~ only one itty bitty little letter.
  18. Yikes!
  19. Sure. Why not? And it still looks like an 80's Olds.
  20. I'm with Harry on this one!
  21. Very nice. Just a tiny point, not meant to be critical, but just a little detail that would make your Model A station wagon even better: All the hardware ~ including all the carriage bolt heads ~ on the wood body should be black, not chrome, for a correct factory stock build. You have correctly painted the corner gussets at the lower rear corners black, but all the bolt heads should be black as well. Otherwise a very credible Model A! Good job!
  22. Sweeeet!
