I know, I know, I wasn't trying to make it exact just a cool, quick little build.

Yes, It is meant that way as though the tiers have fallen off the rims as a result of siting for a long time.

Well, first used a rust colored primer and striped the paint were I wanted it rusty then put on a thin layer brown craft paint and used homemade rust powder on that.

I don't know, All I know is its the one molded in blue.

Hey I know this is an old thread but is this homemade or an actual kit? -

Beautiful work so far, I'll have to check my local hobby store for that color that would look great on an Impala I'm working on. -
No, pics yet. I painted it today but the rattle can job didn't turn out sooo, when I can get to the local dollar store, I'm going to get a couple bottles of DOT-3 and a plastic tote and see how that paint stripping technique works for me, How does it work for you guys? Good? Bad? I got 75% of the motor dome but I didn't get pics of it. In all I'm pretty disappointed in the kit for several reasons Here are the bad things first: The exhaust, Suspension and driver shat are molded into the chassis, the front axel goes through the motor and lastly, No radiator hoses!!?? Now the good: decent body and interior detail, nice Mag wheels/ Goodyear tires. I plan to paint it burgundy and put alot of the street rod parts along with trying to find radiator hoses. Thanks, any suggestions welcome!

Nice truck! Very good weathering. -
So what do you pro modelers use to get all the paint of a model car fairly quick and with no damage to the plastic? I have several builds I've given up on do to a bad paint job, It boils down to that I don't have enough hours in a day (nor enough patience) to sand a car completely down. I want something that maybe will take the paint down enough to take of with regular thinner or take off all of it in itself . I once thought mineral spirits but I haven't dared to try it yet. Any suggestions are appreciated, Thanks!
