  1. Lol yeah it probably does run rough. I noticed it to after posting. Will get it fixed. Thanks ?
  2. After almost a year since I started it is now done. Color is Root Beer Kandy. Interior is Champagne and Dark Copper. Engine is parts paks 427 with holly carbs from fireball. Was gonna do a tub chassis but I’m saving that for another project. ?
  3. Yeah revell pro modeler kit. I suppose once I get the body stripped down I will post a mock up photo.
  4. Yeah you are probably right with the bumpers. I don’t have the instructions for reference but will keep that in mind once I get it back together.
  5. Nice. Who did the resin body?
  6. So I built this back in 2004 I think. Maybe 2005. And thought that it can be better. Much better actually. The green just doesn’t work. Not sure why I chose green at the time. And it needs white wall tires. So In the purple bath it goes. I’m thinking Rio Red with matching interior. And the search begins for white walls and other parts it may be missing...or need.
  7. Thanks. The front is at the top ( lowered) I seem to have miss placed the risers for the rear so it is also lower. I may try and fix it but for now I like it. here is a better angle for reference.
  8. I love seeing other modelers work benches/areas because I almost always see something and go “oh why didn’t I think of that” for instance your “paint rack”. Great idea!! nice work on the chevelle. ?
  9. Been a while since I’ve done bmf. Wow that stuff is tedious. Here’s where I’m at and probably last post here.
  10. Chassis and interior is complete. Now waiting for the body to dry. Pretty close to calling this one done.
  11. Chassis is just about done but I wanted to make sure it looked right.
  12. Dude!! Does it run? Lol very nice.
  13. Alrighty I got another coat on the body done. Gonna clear it today. Working on the suspension on this kit is a pain. Parts don’t fit right. So that’s taking longer. Working on the interior now. What do you guys and gals think of this color combo? Champagne and dark copper.
  14. Thanks everyone. Didn't get much done as some other stuff came up. I was able to get the interior painted champagne. Just need to tape off the accents and get those painted. Also need to sand down the body a little more and spray another coat. And I am slowly getting the chassis together.
  15. Very nice. Will be watching.
  16. Alright so I got the body painted, Hood, Trunk and firewall as well. Some parts didn't stick very well and you can see silver. I may sand it down some and spray another coat. It is House of Kolor RootBeer Candy. The paint is a couple years old so not sure if that has something to do with it. First time I've used it since I ordered it a couple years ago. Hoping to get the chassis together and then work on the interior.
  17. Waait wait wait wait wait.....Last week you bought the kit... and its done? Wow that is a fast build. Awesome job!!
  18. I like it. ?
  19. Dehydrator can speed up enamel dry time. I agree I like the enamel blue more. Great job.
  20. Was able to get the body base coat on. So now I just need to see if the hobby store has the tamiya that Charles recommended and also the light brown. Slowly but surely it’s coming along.
  21. So I seem to have lost the distributor that came with the kit. So I had to order one. Got it wired. Very sloppy i might add. But the engine is together. Now to start work on the body and interior which I hope to get some of that done tomorrow.
  22. When does the madness stop? Another outstanding build my friend. Absolutely beautiful.
  23. very clean build.
  24. Yeah I was gonna use the ones from the 65 kit. I also used the oil pan and I might use the manifold. Got the holes drilled out for the spark plug wire. Broke another bit. ugh.
  25. Alrighty so after really looking at the motor and not liking it I ordered a 427 engine and some fireball carbs. Got the engine de chromed with bleach. Gonna wire it and such. I was thinking of finding a tubbed chassis and doing a drag car but that might be out of my capabilities. Attending the Oregon Modelers Society Car show today so probably won’t get much done.
