Work on the engine has begun. Got the holes lined up right for the spark plugs.

Testors True Blue pearl over black. Not quite as dark as I was hoping but it will work. Gonnna sand it down a spray another coat or two this weekend.

First coat of blue. I’ve also decided to go with gun metal wheels.

Soooo this one is back on the bench. 3 Years later lol. Over the road truck driver not much time to build models. But I am local now home every night yay!! Got the body sanded down and primed. Should get the first coat of paint on today. My original plan was to do all black. Black bumpers black interior black wheels. But that has changed. I've decided to go with True Blue Pearl, Black Wheels and Black interior with blue accents. As for the bumpers not exactly sure yet. Maybe a matte black or keep them chrome. Going for a smooth clean look. Shaved door handles and emblems are gone.

Stretched Frame

Yeah I found that one after posting but it says out of stock. I will attempt a stretch as it doesn't sound all that difficult. Thanks everyone. -

Well here it is. The bumpers are correct going off the box art. I like the matching interior over the previous version. don’t know if I will redo a model again as it seems to be just as much work as building from a fresh kit. Either way it was fun.

Yeah the interior was white and when I sprayed that with the rio red I noticed it was much brighter then over the primer. Either one I didn't like. Yes the coves are staying white.

Ok so here we go. Rio red wasn’t doing it. So I hit it with some tangerine kandy. What do you think?

More long days at work and not enough free time to build. But here’s an update. Got the body stripped and primed. Just got the paint today so will shoot it tomorrow. Also got some white wall tires. I plan to paint it tomorrow and then clear it Sunday. Throw it in the dehydrator for a few days. Maybe I will have it done next weekend.
