  1. Scott thanks for sharing all those years I was a on a Millitary Model forum they never once said anything about these guess they wasn’t good enough for their standards. I’ve looked at them many times and never bought them. Now I know there a good product thanks to you. I’ve always used Mig Enamel wash with high end powders. One thing about the Mig you better do it right the first time or you will have to strip the whole model paint and all and you will learn how to weather a model really fast after that. Glad you can just wipe these away.
  2. Nice looking builds as always Brian. I guess what I like most about your models is how you out source the unique decals. Thanks for sharing.
  3. All of these look great but my 2 favorites is the Hess White Road Boss with the DD and the Scout thanks for sharing Scott.
  4. Ron I say it was and some very nice and unique builds you have. Thanks for sharing.
  5. Yes you have been very busy. Awesome builds! Thanks for sharing. By the way I know who to call now if I need my sheep Hauled 😂 that Ford 1 ton looks great.
  6. Yes it does I’ve built many Millitary Aircraft and Vehicle’s over the years and I always paint my Millitary subjects flat black to bring out the shadows and it help’s with weathering.
  7. Gary I’m always nervous redoing Grille’s for that reason
  8. Nice one Bren. I need to get this kit again for my collection before it goes away. Nice work place too. Merry Christmas to you also.
  9. I have heard that name in years. I used to buy 1/32 scale Rubber truck tires from him.
  10. Good looking truck. My brother Bill made the Masters for the Grille and Hood for Modelhaus back in the late 80s and Don casted them for years. Bill also made the Master for the 2 ton Chevy C60 for him as well as the 60s GMC Tailgate inserts. Bill used the GMC letters for the grille from a toy I had 😂. Glad to see Bill’s stuff still being used.
  11. Great finish for sure. I’m too sore to hear you have to sell them.
  12. I’ll try to post a link to you in a PM
  13. It would be nice to see them appear again. Who knows AMT has done some wonderful things for the Model Community over the past years making kits we only imagine. It’s a good time to be a model builder.
  14. Very well done Jürgen and I’m glad you decided to post them. I have one 1/25 scale refurbished my brothers Autocar but I don’t think it will make it but you never know.
  15. Steve what a great comment I really appreciate it. Yes my passion for this kit goes back to around 1975 when I got that Dannon set. Also my very first encounter is when my brother Bill built the Reefer trailer around 1973 when they first came out he used sniff proof glue (non toxic) to build it smelled like Oranges he opened the back doors And said “Smell” it smelled just like Oranges was just hauled in it 😂. Box Art does sell and theses kits had some good ones and later as I will show some bad ones. Thanks for sharing your story I appreciate it glad to always here someone’s story on a kit I like. Yes I think your right about the Heller deal. I kinda doubt if these will see light again. It really disappoints me Heller manipulated this kit by adding cab mounts and no chrome at least they could have chromed was needed to be and the Boxes were horrible after a few years the glue failed and the box comes apart if you had opened it but that’s just me. We now have IXO Diecast Truck models cranking out 1/43 trucks like Hot Cakes. Maybe AMT will see this opportunity to get these molds back or what ever the deal was and get the trailers kits back out on the market for all these IXO Trucks. I would like to see them do the 1/25 scale Flatbed, Tanker, and Cattle trailers in 1/43 scale at least. I’ll be post the Kenworth K-100 this weekend so be looking for it and the 1/43 Trailers after the Holidays if not sooner. Thanks again for stopping by.
  16. I think so Brian I just cleaned off a several shelf’s that had my 1/32 Toy Tractors on hoping I’ll fill the shelves up with my 1/43 builds. I’m thinking of of down sizing to 1/43 scale now because of that reason.
  17. I’ve pulled many of Sea Containers out of there going to the border of Southern Illinois and Kentucky. No offense I don’t like Chicago.
  18. I think so too they were my first real model truck back in 1978 I was 10 years old I would build them and my brother Bill would put the decals on for me. They were much different than the Aircraft I built putting the decals on. At one time I had every one of them.
  19. Of course. Jürgen those look awesome and I like that K-100 Kenworth the best. Thanks for sharing.
  20. Jim. I understand completely I’m the same way the only place I have to spray paint is outside.
  21. You deserve it it’s a great looking rig and you put a lot of time and work into it. One more thing thanks for the inspiration for me to build a tanker rig in 1/43 scale I appreciate it.
  22. No I live in Missouri in the Foothills of the Ozarks. I just like the Canadian and the northern territories looking trucks this one just kinda reminds me of them.
  23. I appreciate it which one 😂
  24. This evening I got a little more done on the Watkins Reefer trailer. I added the Reefer unit, Battery Boxes, Fuel Tank, Landing gear, and the decals to the Reefer and Trailer numbers. Next is to add the rear doors and decals, tail lights and license plate bracelet and I’m calling it done.
