  5. Well here’s another one I’ve dug out of my “Mack models I have to finish” pile. Last night I done some work on it and some updates. Added some strips of Styrene on the tank for straps Soaked this ugly tank in Ammonia to get the chrome off This started out as a long frame but I decided to make a shorter WB. More updates soon.
  6. Great tear down Jürgen keep us post on updates looking forward to your new spin on this.
  7. Updates are looking great I like the air horns
  8. Nice plumbing Ken you’ll get this figured out I’m sure.
  9. I’m sure you will make look that way
  10. Thanks Warren for the complement. I wouldn’t get your hopes up on it going public.
  11. Yes that would be nice. Dave had the molds to do that truck but when he moved he missed place them but said he would keep looking for me and I was making a order with him one day he said he found them that he would cast some up then Covid hit and he got buried with orders and I just gave up because he was so busy then he sold the company to Doug.
  12. Thanks for the complement I appreciate it. I hope AITM gets going some day I still have things on my list to get from them. When I got the truck painted and the wheels and tires put on I mocked it up and sent Dave some pics he also liked the paint colors I chose. I wish I would have kept going and finished it so he could have seen the end results. Thanks for stopping by.
  13. Jim I appreciate your complement. I remember when you built one of these and it turned out nice I liked it. The wheels and tires gives it a whole different look. Thanks for stopping by.
  14. Great idea Steve that’s the way they did it in the old days true craftsman ship my friend looks good so far.
  15. Scott thanks for the complement. The kit is the original Monogram. The wheels and tires are from AITM. Thanks for stopping by
  16. After 9 years just sitting on the shelf not finished today it is. This build was a first for me in a lot of ways. This was my first AC Mack in 1/24 scale I built and the first to put Pneumatic Tires on a 1/24 AC and upgrade it. I got the kit off of eBay and I when I got it I didn’t realize that the box looked like it was in a fire with smoke damage. The frame was already built and was very warped making it difficult for me to build especially when I never built one. Thanks to Dave (AITM) the day I call him 9 years ago and told him my idea about this build he told me the exact tires and wheels to use and sent me a pair of Headlight’s and bracelets for it free. I opted out on using the Headlight’s from Dave for someday I might use them on another AC build I have in mind. I miss Dave and the talks we would have about Mack Trucks and Building Model’s of them. Enjoy the pics.
  17. Outstanding job on this just the right amount of weathering not over killed to give it a very convincing look especially the Mudflaps nice touch. As a Dump Trucker I’ve seen that many times on my truck and you nailed it. This has to be the best rendition of this mixer as per Box Art. build. Thanks for sharing.
  18. Put it in your tool box you never know when you will need it I always cared lots of extras 😂
  19. Nice updates weather looks good
  20. Today I painted the inside of the headlights with a sharpie then added the lenses also add more minor stuff before it goes to Under Glass.
  21. Nice details but I thought I would tell you before you get the wet stuff on your rear crossmember is in upside down. That groove in it goes on top for King Pin Clarence. Outside that looks good. I’ve built several of these over the years and I know their dirty little secrets they have so if you need help like Bren said lots of it is here just ask.
  22. Ken your welcome. The wheels are really setting it off now
  23. Thanks Brian I appreciate it. These AC Mack’s to me always looked neat with the Phneumatic tires
  24. Well it’s a New Year and thought about what kinda models I will be building in the near future and I came up this idea of re-visiting my old builds that were on here and maybe the ones I started 40 years ago. First up will be this Mack AC. I worked on it tonight and got a lot done. I know why I put this thing away 9 years ago it’s a twisted up mess. I think I have it going my way now. Next it is to add the Head Lights and a few more details and I’m calling it done. Engine is now in the frame. I decided to go with a light gray these were mostly a Black or Dark Grey but I decided on a lighter Grey. Added the tailgate Added the steering wheel and put the front cross piece on with the radiator guard on. That’s it for tonight.
