Diamond Reo Tri-Axle Dump Truck
Pete68 replied to Pete68's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
thanks guys -
Here's a Diamond Reo Tri-Alxe Dump truck I built back in the early 90s when amt Re-realesed the truck. I took it to Kansas City and won 3rd place with it at the Cowtown Nationals it was a fun build. The dump bed was a Ertl gravel trailer I cut down and used. The third axle suspension on the truck was also used from the same kit. Front flotation tires where's use from the Autocar Enjoy the pics

Nice work terry Not to tell you how to built that chassis but to give you some help if you would move those boster pin locks back to the rear and the front ones to the first cross member it would help that way you can be even with the dock I've pulled these for years. I've tried to load some pic of some we have on our yard I took last year but it won't let me -

Brian this looks like it's going to be a good project I like those old Japanese freightliners. Roadway had some these trucks orange on top blue on the bottom where the fenders are in the headlights.Yale had some of these lyons lines, Chippewa, East Texas motor freight, Campbell 66 had some jerry@modeltrucking.com sells those decals some if you need some pics let me know I have a lot of pics of this truck with the different LTL companies. Roadway express Ran mostly sleepers of this truck like you have in your pics. Hope this helps. -

Pete68 replied to Pete68's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Thanks guys. I think I might leave it like it is I've already lowered it a lot. I might put skirts on the fenders and put a Diesel engine in it. I don't know just yet, I never liked them sitting low anyway.
