  1. Nice page and page suspension I like it
  2. While waiting for Decals and other parts for my projects I thought I would start working on this one. I bought the Resin cab last summer from Jimmy Flintstone it's a nice casting. The donor is a dodge L 700 interior, wheels and frame. Hope you enjoy the pics
  3. Looking good I got my parts from Dave this week you will probably have this finished before I even get to my truck
  4. Terry Very nice collection! I don't know which one I like the best, I guess I will say I like them all thanks for sharing this. Looks like model heaven all those vintage boxes and the built trucks you have something to be proud of. Maybe some day I will get my fleet built back up like I once had it 25yrs ago. I'm glad I got back in this scale guys like you bring back that old model fever I used to have when I built these years ago thanks for sharing
  5. Thought I would give a small update on what I done over the weekend. I will touch up the headlights with some chrome paint. Hope you enjoy
  6. You are welcome. I'm waiting for my Mack N parts from AITM It will be a while before I get to this project. Do you have a pic of what you are building? Hope to see some pics soon
  7. Terry thanks yes I'm going to use the round headlights in the pic I didn't like the steel 5 hole wheels so I used the California hauler wheels and rear hubs
  8. At the top of the thread you can see how I did it I sawed off the sleeper and put a piece of styrene in the back of the cab filled and sanded and modified the interior also thanks
  9. Jacobus i was just getting parts ready for my Mack N this week for a future build. As for the interior it was probably Mack mint green. Every Mack type truck I've seen till 1973 was Mack mint green. For as the mint green color your on your own I drove a 1972 Mack R "flat back cab" it had the pod type dash and it was green but the 1964 Mack B I drove for a friend of mine was a different factory green. Hope this helps good luck on your build
  10. Thought I would give a update. Worked on the frame and painted the cab and hood today the paint is Testors Dark red the light seems to give it a pinkish look for some reason. This is starting to be a fun built hope you enjoy.
  11. Sergey I know about the soil on the tanks frame is no where near done have a lot of work to do to it .I don't think a toothbrush and toothpaste will get it out I like the primer so I can see all the imperfections I need to take care of before final primer and paint. Thanks for the comment Kilrathy10 I was going to paint the cab and hood today but it rain the humidity is way too high
  12. Another issue the Freightliner has is the headlights it has the high eyebrows look like it seen a rat. There just a little too high that's just my opinion
  13. I finally got around to putting some primer on this truck here's a small update
  14. I can't remember I will check it out and send you a pic of it when I get home
  15. This is how I done mine I used the testors liquid glue in the red and black bottle it kinda melts the plastic a little to give you a good weld. I glued the right side first held in place and adjusted it and then I glued the left side adjusted it and I had no problems but sand edges a little bit before you glue all the pieces together I never used any body filler I will show you a picture of the cab done last year when I get home today sometime here's a pic of the single drive I did when I was 16 years old I'm 48 years old now I still have this truck hope this helps
  16. I've built both for many years I would say the Freightliner is easier after you get pass the cab. I never had a issue with that either. The Pete on the other hand always had problems with the cab and the front wheels never looked right to me. The best way to mount the cab is like my brother Bill showed me glue the hinges to the bumper first and glue them to the cab set the cab where you want it and glue the bumper to the frame forget the cereal bowel method they show you that's a nightmare that's just my opinion on the two kits.
  17. Terry those are nice, great work. If you ever cast them up and want to sell any I would buy a set or 2 from you. I think they would sell good.
  18. Nice AP I seen it on Terry's thread thanks for posting it here like to see you guys AC Mack projects I hope to have some more done next week on mine
  19. Thanks guys for posting your AC Mack I really enjoy looking at them. I don't mine terry if you post more pics here on my thread I'm sure all of us would enjoy seeing your nice work. Here's some pics with the dump bed on it I really don't like the way it fits. The radiator guard bar I use a piece a stir stick for it instead of the simulated steel plastic one. I've seen them with both.
  20. Terry Ok I will check it out. I got some more work done on the AC today. This kit is so old and the plastic is very briddle the frame another parts was warped really bad it was a challenge to get it all to fit right. I think I might keep the bed stationary and put a higher sub frame on it.
  21. Terry thanks for getting that combination together absolutely beautiful! Have you shown Dave? I hope you didn't care I save this picture. If not you need to email him this picture he will love it. I also like the lowboy maybe someday I'll get around the building one of those Mack AK's. Keep up the excellent work!
  22. Terry I know the feeling about the casting part those wheels are going to look good. What are you waiting for pull that thing out and start building! Your truck reminds me of this one. By the way is that it a.k Mack winch truck in the background of your picture? Dave is always helpful and willing to give you pointers.
  23. Terry thanks your truck looks good as well I like the Cab Shield. Dave (AITM) has been a lot of help with the parts for the build of this truck. I've built many in 1/87 Scale HO and always wanted to try one of these monogram kits. Here's some pics of Dave's and one I found on the net. The Ringling Brothers and Barnum Bailey and the one behind the glass is Dave's the other one is unknown. Hope to see some progress pics on yours soon.
