You are welcome my sneaky friend, that’s going to be a beautiful truck. Are you going to put the front chrome hub caps on? -

Good idea to let it set up specially since it’s a resin cab if you have a hobby lobby near you they have the DM 600 that have those extra round headlights or you can just buy them from Dave there not on his list but he will sell them to you -

I was going to use the single headlights from the Mack DM 600 that comes extra with the kit or you can get a hold of Dave at AITM and he will fix you up with some pretty cheap -

Warren looks good I used the same chassis for mine to get that rear end to sit down put blocks under the front axle. It’s not the rear springs thats the problem it’s the front axle sets to low -
Thanks guys I’m just running out of room for my 1/25 trucks and I’ve been wanting to finish this layout thought you guys would enjoy the truck models I’m building for the layout

Pete68 replied to Pete68's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Thanks Brian it is a very special build to me. -
Very nice I’m a big Acar fan my self. Best radiator cap to use is the fuel cap that comes with the kit you can replace fuel cap with some after market ones. If you don’t mine here’s a pic of my with one on it

1976 Autocar A64B dedicated to JR
Pete68 replied to Pete68's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Thanks guys -
Well it’s finaily here the A64B. I’ve had this painted for several years and when I seen the new decal register in the kit I knew exactly the way I was going to build this one. Some day when if I ever repaint my real 1.1 Autocar I thought about this paint scheme. This build is dedicated to my Dad who spent a lot of time helping me to restore my real truck. He got to see it at only one truck show in Paducah KY. after we finished it and then he passed away with cancer. The last picture in this set is of him when we was restoring it. He drove for 43yrs with No accidents And log millions of miles. Truckers that new him around town always called him JR because that’s what he put on his trucks “J.R. Drennen”. So this ones for him enjoy the pics.
