  1. Start this car about two years ago just got it finish today I switched to 1/32 because I’m kind of burned out on 1/25 that I’ve built for nearly 40 years enjoy the pics
  2. Thanks the car is finished
  3. Painted the tires and running boards need to do some touch work and calling this one done
  4. I’ve build 1/25 trucks and cars for 40yrs and I’m burned out on both. I’ve always liked these little kits they do have lots of potential if you are willing to do the leg work. This one I started about a year ago and came back to it to finish this is what I have so far.
  5. I was trying to get some ideas for my Mack B models this morning thought I would share them with you
  6. I was trying to get some ideas for my Mack B models this morning thought I would share them with you
  7. Jim I forgot to tell you I called Dave last week and said he found the molds and was going to test them and let me know how they did. I used the Tamiya nato black for my chain turned out very well and convincing after you paint it go over it lightly with a #2 lead pencil for a little metal look on the sprocket and out site the chain. No dust problem
  8. Thanks guys I hope to get some bench work done this week or weekend
  9. Jim I really like that Green. What color is the cab going to be?
  10. Thanks Jim hope to get started on the interior soon.
  11. A friend of mine had a 1975 white road boss medium nose with a 903 cummins it blew up he bought a old CF freightliner cabover one of the first color scheme transitions white with green/ red stripes for the 903 engine it was red
  12. Warren thanks been want to build this truck for decades Brain be careful with the drooling I think Warren is sitting next to you watching. Thanks for the complement. Worked on the frame a little and here’s a mock up
  13. Here’s one I’ve been working on. The Cab, Fuel tanks and rear suspension are from AITM. The frame wheels exc.. is a doner AMT R Mack. Bumper is a Mack DM600
  14. Your Welcome Warren I’m glad I could help
  15. Warren great looking mock up. I used to drive one of these old Brockways it was a 1969 360. I wonder if the American la France pump would work on the front? anyway I’ll be watching this build
  16. Jim here’s a pic of the headlights Dave sent me to upgrade and pics of my dump truck I need to finish. Ask him if he found the molds to back date the AC. I made my rock gaurd out of balsa wood and stained it. Those wheels I bought from Dave are very nice
  17. It will probably be this one with the crappy grill and they would have to fix the cab for a correct turbine kit because when they update the kit along with the real truck they punched recessed holes where the grab handles go if you look at one of the last Ertl Astros you can still see where the single handle went and where the bus mirrors go. Hope they fix the wrap cab problem also but who knows in the first edition they didn’t bother to add the correct grill for the turbine engine
  18. Great job! Warren it turned out very nice glad you stayed with it.
  19. Jim very nice choice you can do so much with this kit I love it. I talk to Dave at AITM to get the “retro set” pre 1923? the wheels, hood and the chain guards that was almost a year ago and he said he still can’t find the molds for it. If you want to put updated wheels, tires and headlights he will hook you up just tell him what your doing here’s some pics Dave sent me of his to give you a idea . I will be following this build indeed who knows I may dig mine out and build it along with you it’s almost done.
  20. You are welcome my sneaky friend, that’s going to be a beautiful truck. Are you going to put the front chrome hub caps on?
  21. Seems like I’ve seen this paint scheme before. Very nice paint job warren I love the colors
  22. Brian very nice build these U models always look good as a LTL truck and the “tattletale” is a nice touch
  23. Good idea to let it set up specially since it’s a resin cab if you have a hobby lobby near you they have the DM 600 that have those extra round headlights or you can just buy them from Dave there not on his list but he will sell them to you
  24. I was going to use the single headlights from the Mack DM 600 that comes extra with the kit or you can get a hold of Dave at AITM and he will fix you up with some pretty cheap
  25. Warren I don’t blame you I wouldn’t bother it either. What color are you going with?
