  6. Jim I like it . The V8 cat is a good change up. Nice work on the dash too
  7. Yes they were very poplar back then. My grandpa almost bought a new back then, it was a diesel had a triple nickle cummins in it.
  8. Brian this looks like it's going to be a good project I like those old Japanese freightliners. Roadway had some these trucks orange on top blue on the bottom where the fenders are in the headlights.Yale had some of these lyons lines, Chippewa, East Texas motor freight, Campbell 66 had some jerry@modeltrucking.com sells those decals some if you need some pics let me know I have a lot of pics of this truck with the different LTL companies. Roadway express Ran mostly sleepers of this truck like you have in your pics. Hope this helps.
  9. Thanks guys going good so for. Terry that's what we'll call it a high mount. I've seen that same pic. I was looking around and found this I'm going to try to convert the dodge engine into a white mustang V8
  10. Thanks guys. I think I might leave it like it is I've already lowered it a lot. I might put skirts on the fenders and put a Diesel engine in it. I don't know just yet, I never liked them sitting low anyway.
  11. Nice page and page suspension I like it
  12. While waiting for Decals and other parts for my projects I thought I would start working on this one. I bought the Resin cab last summer from Jimmy Flintstone it's a nice casting. The donor is a dodge L 700 interior, wheels and frame. Hope you enjoy the pics
  13. Looking good I got my parts from Dave this week you will probably have this finished before I even get to my truck
  14. Terry Very nice collection! I don't know which one I like the best, I guess I will say I like them all thanks for sharing this. Looks like model heaven all those vintage boxes and the built trucks you have something to be proud of. Maybe some day I will get my fleet built back up like I once had it 25yrs ago. I'm glad I got back in this scale guys like you bring back that old model fever I used to have when I built these years ago thanks for sharing
  15. Thought I would give a small update on what I done over the weekend. I will touch up the headlights with some chrome paint. Hope you enjoy
  16. You are welcome. I'm waiting for my Mack N parts from AITM It will be a while before I get to this project. Do you have a pic of what you are building? Hope to see some pics soon
  17. Terry thanks yes I'm going to use the round headlights in the pic I didn't like the steel 5 hole wheels so I used the California hauler wheels and rear hubs
  18. At the top of the thread you can see how I did it I sawed off the sleeper and put a piece of styrene in the back of the cab filled and sanded and modified the interior also thanks
  19. Jacobus i was just getting parts ready for my Mack N this week for a future build. As for the interior it was probably Mack mint green. Every Mack type truck I've seen till 1973 was Mack mint green. For as the mint green color your on your own I drove a 1972 Mack R "flat back cab" it had the pod type dash and it was green but the 1964 Mack B I drove for a friend of mine was a different factory green. Hope this helps good luck on your build
  20. Thought I would give a update. Worked on the frame and painted the cab and hood today the paint is Testors Dark red the light seems to give it a pinkish look for some reason. This is starting to be a fun built hope you enjoy.
  21. Sergey I know about the soil on the tanks frame is no where near done have a lot of work to do to it .I don't think a toothbrush and toothpaste will get it out I like the primer so I can see all the imperfections I need to take care of before final primer and paint. Thanks for the comment Kilrathy10 I was going to paint the cab and hood today but it rain the humidity is way too high
  22. Another issue the Freightliner has is the headlights it has the high eyebrows look like it seen a rat. There just a little too high that's just my opinion
  23. I finally got around to putting some primer on this truck here's a small update
