  1. can't say as I do Chuck. Sorry
  2. Thanks Paul. Can't make it this week. Want to but watch commander says otherwise. Current schedule should allow for me to be there in March.
  3. That looks great so far!
  4. Just a couple
  5. All good in the hood Scott. I try to gather as much Intel as possible. Before putting something out for public viewing. The paint is a lacquer and it was abear to find anyone local who carried it, so I ordered a can. There is an actual paint code on that site and there are body shop repair supply stores that will put it in aerosol form if given the code. That's what I have to do for my Michigan State Police units.
  6. Hey Scott. I used testors mythical maroon. If you go to Maroon Cruisers.com they actually list the paint code when they made it official in 1958. You are correct about the passenger side light mounted on the front fender. They used them in the 50's until the late 60's I think. Here are some shots of a 1970 Plymouth and 69 Ford with the roof mounted bi-directional stop signs. Hope it helps
  7. Looks good so far!
  8. Fit wasn't too bad. A little sanding and slight modifications that's it. But not a tremendous amount of detail. So a lot of time is spent nailing down specifics. It's really a neat blank canvas though. Hope you enjoy building one.
  9. Great comms and excellent service. Will deffinately be doing business with him in the future.
  10. in 69 and 70 the Fords were too powerful and a design flaw in the latch was causing the hoods to pop open. So Ford sent the affected departments pin kits.
  11. Looks bad ass!
  12. Finished the MSP Ford this morning. Hope you dig it.
  13. Got a little done last night. *JUST A TIP!* Do not drink Jameson the whole time you are watching the Super Bowl then think it's a great idea to install the windshield on your model. Now I've got 2 small spots where glue got on the glass. Bummer
  14. Cool beans! Thanks gang. Look forward to attending one. Downriver won't work this month cuz I'm on the road for shift but hopefully the next.
  15. This is true. I happen to have an alps printer I got off a guy who was getting out of hobby. Couldn't say if it would work with inkjet or not. Good catch
  16. I really wish there was a Polara or Fury model kit out there. I want to do the DPD 63 Plymouth wagon in black but every resin crew out there that had anything close has dried up.
  17. If you are doing a lot of custom decal type work, you definitely want to invest in good blank decal sheets and sealer. I use Tango Papa decal paper and in my opinion is the best out there. Very thin and excellent printing. tangopapadecals.com After printing and allowing the ink to dry properly, I use the microscale decal solution to seal the ink. You can put it on thick and it dries very thin and makes the decal sturdier.
