  1. Found these 3 aoshima Delorean's on ebay so i bought them all. I have not yet decided if i am going to buy 3 more just i can have all of the movie versions on display at the same time, all three can be built in 2 different ways.
  2. Its gold. The transmission is the Mack 13/18speed from auslowe.
  3. That explains it. I got confused bu the exhaust manifold and intake manifold just having 4 ports connecting it to the head.
  4. This must be the oddest truck i have built. Also the first ever 4cylinder powered truck i have built. Nothing extra added, just out of the box build. It has some fitment issues even if the frame is straight. I had to mount the cab with a slight turn in it to get it to line up and close the gap between the cab and the hood. Its still not perfect but good enough for me. The paint is from greenstuffworld and is called burning gold. It was supposed to be red that turns to yellow/gold so i have no idea where the green came from. Its hard to find a paint that works with darkbrown metallic as the decal stripes are but i think this works without being to wierd Sleeper window is painted in Tamiya clear blue. The paint splatter in some pic's are the result of a malfunctioning airbrush... Still have no idea what the chrome things on the fenders are for, i thought they were us style air cleaners but nothing is connected to them The intake pipe from the turbo goes to the one behind the sleeper.
  5. I would use the AMT california hauler for that conversion kit.
  6. This irked me just a little earlier today when i got home from work. I managed to get stuck in my own driveway it got hung up on the skidplate under the fueltank and had to dig it out and then spend 45minutes removing snow with a shovel from the rest of the driveway. I think i had snow that was about 15" deep.. And it is still snowing...
  7. So how does someone that dont understand russia buy from them?
  8. Looks great, i have to build mine soon to. I can only hope mine looks as good as yours do.
  9. It is a Swedish low price store that are called Dollarstore. I dont think they have anything to do with the US Dollarstore but i am not sure.
  10. That might be what happend. I suspected that it was the only way to fix it, just have to think of a way to protect the rest of the model from any overspray when i fix it because it is just the back of the sleeper and nowhere else. Also i dont want to repaint the whole model.
  11. Yes i did but it seems like it is different at alot of their stores. During my christmas vacation i looked in 6 different store in 6 different citys and none of them had the same. It was around where my gf lives and on my way home from her so i did not just drive around to random citys stopping in their stores, they were all on my route anyway and i was not in a hurry home. 2 had no models at all, 2 had just the plane, porsche and a small uss hornet, 1 had the plane, porsche and mustang and the last had the plane, porsche and unimog. But at one store the employee i talked to said that they could order it if i wanted.
  12. I walked by where i have put some of my models and noticed that one of them did not like right and after looking closer this is what i saw. This is my Kenworth T600 that i built a few months ago. After looking a bit closer at my others i noticed that it had started to do the same on my GMC Bison but on this it is behind the stripe decal After i have looked at al of my others it is just these 2 that have this problem. I have done nothing different with these 2 before painting them, i sanded them where they needed, washed all the parts with soap and water, rinsed them good and left them to dry for a few days before painting. After letting the paint dry and harden i put clear on them a week later it was the same type as the paint, they are both acryl type and have never done something like this before. The rest of the trucks does not have this problem, it is just the back of the sleeper on both. Does anyone know why this happend and why it is just this shade of red that is affected by it? The others with darker red and other colors from the same brand looks just fine and not a hint of anything like this about to happen. There is no other way to fix this then to remove the paint from the whole back of the sleeper and repaint it or there is another way? The Bison might be harder to fix since it is behind the decal and aslong as it does not get any worse then this i can live with it.
  13. Yes i think so to. Converted to usd the price i paid is still under $20 for the mustang. The unimog is nice, the only drawback is that the hood is molded closed and yet there is an engine in it. But even if the hood was made to open you would not see much of the engine just as the real thing. At my old job i worked on a unimog and got to drive it. They are surprisingly easy to work on and extremely fun to drive I think they always have sold kits but it is mostly planes and helicopters or revells dinosaur kits. Now they must have changed inventory because now they have these + the 1/1200 USS Hornet aircraft carrier complete with paint and glue
  14. Went in to a relativley newly built store in a town i havent visted for a year or two. Found these in the toys section of the store. The plane is made by ICM and just repacked by Revell. The engine is almost fully detailed even if you cant see alot of it
  15. That a mouse has made its way in to the crawlspace of my house and up in to a interior wall.. Was just down under the house to set up som traps to hopefully take care of that little problem before it makes any more damage then just the insulation that it has spread out where it crawled in... Atleast the crawlspace is around 55" tall so i can walk around in there by crouching. Maybe should get a cat of my own to patrol my yard as the neighbours cat's apparently dont care about my yard
  16. No i honestly did not even think about that, but good idea. I found those earlier today and i think i am going to use them. So my question is answered. Thanks everyone that helped.
  17. It is these doors that i want to be able to open so i can use them to store tools and chains and anything else that a towtruck might have. For the 2 smaller boxes above the wheelwells the hinge above could work. For the bigger doors i want something that looks like the ones that are molded in to the parts as i really like the look of them.
  18. For a build that i am planning to do sometime in the future i want to be able to open some doors on the body Is there somewhere i can buy small photoetch hinges that works or is that something i have to figure out and build my self? The hinges that are moulded in to the body is 2x4mm and those looks perfect on it scalewise. So something close to that size would be good and if i can get the exact size it would be perfect.
  19. Thanks. Yes it does fit in with the 2 others. You should build it, the rumors are worse then reality on how they are to build. The biggest problem is that the hood will not fully open (revell have the same problem on theirs) but how often do anyone open the hood on a model and look at the engine? That looks great.
  20. Thanks. Thanks, it does fit in with the other 2 even if it is slightly smaller in its 1/25 scale instead of 1/24 as revell have. You should build it, it will look good + you already know about problems that will show up. If i can find a Canepa version i am going to buy it and build it, mostly because it can be fun to have the 4 versions of the T600 that are out there in 1/24/25 scale and not 1/32 Thanks. This one does look better then the revell versions do. I think AMT/ERTL spent more time on research and getting the body lines as close as they could. Thanks.
  21. Calling this done for now. Had to build one after all the problems i have heard about them but to be honest i did not think it was that hard to build. Revells T600 Aerodyne version was much worse in my opinion. The engine and frame are completley wrong on it as everyone knows and some fitment problems like the hood will barely open. Fairings between the cab and sleeper also gave me some problem and i just gave up on them thats why there are gaps. The sideskirts gave me some problems but i got them to look good on it atleast. I have not decided if i want the roof spoiler on it or not but i like it both with and without it. I might build one again if i can get the Canepa version of it at a reasonable price. Last 2 pic,s are with my other T600's from Revell
  22. Could be, i know that i am not that bothered with the size difference between 1/24 or 1/25 scale that others might be. If it end up with them teaming up more then just sharing moulds and make something new more modern that would be great. A modern (2010 and up) Peterbilt/Kenworth/Mack i would buy as soon as i knew it was avaliable. I think the main reason why they do this is because they could be trying to get more to buy AMT truck kits. Everyone knows that AMT,s truck kits have bad fitting parts, basically useless instructions and no part numbers so you have to compare the part to the one in the manual and after wear on the mould it looks nowhere close to what i was supposed to. I think there are alot of kids/adults that bought a AMT kit because they wanted to build it and just gave up when they got stuck at some step. So it might be that that they are trying to clear up with using Italeri kits under AMT name Italeri's kit have good fitting parts, clear instructions of how to put it togheter and partnumbers that match the instructions + parts that looks lite the instruction shows them. Only hard part is the mulipiece cab and sleeper. If they would do something completley new and use AMT's one piece cab and correct engine and chassi (as amt does on most) + italeri's manuals and have the correct numbers on the sprues that match the manual. They should also let Italeri design the mirrors to avoid a completley new AMT horrorstory with way to many parts.. That would be a great kit for those that have never built a truck kit before. As far as i know there is only Revell that offers a kit like that and it is their old Kenworth W900/T900 Australia but the mirrors on that thing is hopeless to assemble and get to look right. They are worse on the T900 Australia where the braces hits the raised airintake pipe for the aircleaners..
  23. So no one is going to say anything about the single wiper just thrown on the windsheild of the Ford? Is it just me or does something look odd about the exhaust stacks on it to? Like they are way to thin? I am still going to get one because i think they look good. I dont think Italeri/Revell or Heller had a licence to use the mack name when it was made. Italeri at one point called it "US power truck" then it became the American Superliner. Heller called it "US heavy truck" Revell never called it a superliner, they called it "rainbow truck" because of what decals they choos to include and "Sinalco" as the Sinalco showtruck But i would think that AMT Round 2 would have the licence from Mack because their line of Mack trucks have all Mack logos so they could add them in the superliner kit if they wanted to but only if it is under the AMT brand? And so could Revell because they use the Mack name on their snaptite kits. Or am i wrong?
