Very nice Chris! Well done! I always liked that kit. I still don't know why I never bought it when it was in the shelves. Darn it, now I want one Thanks,
-
Nice job! Indeed, one of the most beautiful cars ever made! Thanks,
-
Very Nice! Love the color! I did one as well and will take it over the AMT any time. Thanks,

Because it's cool and quite a rush! Well, actually, it is one of the hardest planes to land in the world, if not the hardest. The wingspan is huge, yet it only has landing gear in the center fuselage. It needs to be perfectly aligned in the center of the runway. Just like a bike, When it stops, it actually falls to either side. There is so much lift it doesn't want to land. You need to force it down. The chase car is constantly telling the pilot about altitude and centerline and rudder adjustments. This other video show less than perfect landings and takeoffs of this plane. BEWARE of the soundtrack Lyrics may be offensive: Thanks,

As impressive as it looks, the Vette seems to only get to 3rd gear. Landing speed is about 75 knots which is roughly about 85MPH. .. and another one, just a bit faster...... Thanks,

Then mission accomplished!! May I suggest a 20R Toyota engine with a big Weber for the Monza?

Just taking a second to think about those who lost their lives in those events...... We will never forget. That is not a rant, but a promise. Thanks,

Chevy engine "orange".... last year???
ismaelg replied to ZIL 111V's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
At least in Corvettes it was between Aug 23 and Sept 7 1976. So early 1977 engines are orange, but most were blue. Again, in Corvettes. Not sure how it was in other models. Thanks, -
Beautiful execution, but that was expected. Been different makes it even better! Thumbs up!

Any ideas on scratchbuilding headers?
ismaelg replied to charlzrocks's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
Hello, Aluminum tubing is not the best choice for headers. I would recommend plumber's solder. It comes in different diameters and bends easily. But on the downside, it is heavy so you need to make sure it is properly attached. Of course plastic cement will make it laugh. You need epoxy or superglue. Been a soft material makes it easy to bend but also makes it easy to dent and scratch, so you need to be careful. I did the headers on my Gurney Eagle with that: Here is the finished model: http://puertoriconet.com/images/gurney/ Make sure you wait for the download to finish, and crank your speakers...... Hope this helps, Thanks, -
Camaro resin hood and grill?
ismaelg replied to noname's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Check with Time Machine Resin. I think Jeff has that. Time Machine resins Thanks, -
Just add a go-kart steering wheel and a lawn chair. Can you say power to weight ratio?

That's a '97-'98 LS1 C5. There are 2 fuel lines (input and return) in the left engine cover. But the C6 is an evolution of this hydroformed frame chassis. I don't have any spare Z06 drivetrains but I'll be on the lookout....... Thanks,

Nada mas que buscar! Si Jameston la tiene esa es la que es. Yo use sus pinturas en el Camaro Penske y son bien buenas........ . . . . . . Ohh, the rest of you want me to translate it? Search no more! If Jameston has it then that's the one. I used his paints in my Penske Camaro and they are very good......

Found some more. Thanks, Ismael
-
Here are some. I know I have a few more but I can't find them now. Keep in mind this is a Z06, not a ZR1. but the chassis is pretty much the same for both. I'll keep searching for some more. Hope these help! Thanks,
-
Alan, I have pictures that can help you. Give me a few days to locate them. Thanks,

Aston Martin Color...where I can find it?
ismaelg replied to simonr's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Panin! Ese color se parece un poco al Corvette Silver Blue del 1963 code 912. Chequea www.autocolorlibrary.com If nothing else at least you can see the paint chips online and get a close match from the same era. Saludos! -
Hello, I am not a "promo" collector, but more a 1/25 PACE CAR collector. It just happens that most pace cars are promos. If I have a choice I'd build a model and second choice a plastic promo, but I don't hesitate to pick up tampo printed diecasts if that is what it takes. While not exactly a "promo" in the strict definition of the term as per our hobby, this is the latest addition to my collection: Greenlight 2008 Indy Pace Car. Not bad for a "cheap" diecast in the $20 range. Click here for My collection of promos Fotki album Thanks,

All hope is lost!
ismaelg replied to Chuck Most's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
One of the reasons why I've been drifting away from the hobby recently....... nothing new out there for me in the last few years.... Among those I lost hope are: Current Corvette ZR1 Current GT2 C6R Corvette Sting Ray Racer Current Porsche 911 (any variation) ANY IRL cars (current resin offerings are sub-standard) Le Sabre concept car 1979 Toyota Corolla 2 door coupe Deluxe Solstice Saturn Sky Cadillac CTS-V Cadillac XLR Pontiac G6 coupe Vector W2 Vector W8 Vector WX3 Koenigsegg CCX McLaren F1 Ferrari 308 GTS Quatrovalvole (or any GOOD 308 GTS) ...and many more...... -
Can't join but if I could, I would love to do a correct Magnum's Ferrari. (308 GTS) The Revell kit is way off and the Monogram is a GTB. Another choice would be either of the Miami Vice Ferraris. Yes, I know, they were kit cars but cool nonetheless. Would Steve Austin (6 million dollar man, cheap by today's standards ) be considered a detective? He drove a '75 silver Corvette Convertible in some episodes.... Nice idea, good luck to all! Thanks,
-
Monty, Don't know if it helps but I wrote an alternative to the glass T-tops in MCM # 135 (October 2008).... Thanks,
