  1. Hello, The "Grand Auto Fair" has become Puerto Rico's largest annual auto show bringing hundreds of cars and thousands of people during the weekend. It was a gorgeous day with temperatures in the low-mid 80's. I went with my 8 year old son and just like last year, he wanted to take his own pictures. So again I trusted a camera to him. After a great day at the auto show we went to the airport and sat there for over an hour taking pictures of aircraft taking off and landing. Then on to a Burger joint before going back home So I can say I redefined the term QUALITY time with my son today Between both of us we took over 300 pictures, and we saw only about 80% of the auto show before some light rain. Here is the link to the Fotki albums and some sample pics. http://public.fotki.com/tatocorvette/feria-de-autos-2009/ Dennis Gage was there and he chased us down to have a picture taken with us.... yeah right Hope you enjoy,
  2. Looking good so far! I'm loving it. Fixing the pillar should not be a big deal. Thanks,
  3. Beautiful model of a good looking car!
  4. My award for the biggest eBay idiot goes to a buyer who won a resin hood and left negative feedback to the seller because the part "did not fit his car". He was expecting a 1:1 fiberglass hood bargain!!! That was a few years ago....
  5. Looks great so far! One of my favorite cars in one of my favorite color schemes! I did a C5 in that color scheme, Rob Wheeler did a C6 and Bob Downie did a Tahoe as well. One comment thou: That is not the gas tank. That is the spare tire carrier. The gas tank is on top of that and barely visible. Thanks,
  6. It's not the camera, it's the cameraman I'm trying to arrange something with him and some other guys, maybe early summer. By the way, love the engine compartment as well. Thanks,
  7. HA! I was going to post that here but Marcos beat me to it Carlos is one of my favorite builders as well. Love this new creation...... Now you see why I don't do drag cars Thanks,
  8. Very nice! Great job as usual.....
  9. Hello, OK, I know this is not a car and I debated whether or not I should be posting this on this forum. So I decided to post it in the general section instead of Under glass. Anyways, I don't mean to distract anyone but here is my first completion of 2009: 1/200 scale Tupolev Tu-104 Soviet's first jetliner. You can see it's progress thread here: Tu-104 project First 2 boring pictures of it finished: And added some spice with Photoshop My back yard.... At SJU (San Juan) arriving... and leaving... More details: It is about the size of a 1/24 car I had a blast building this. It is far from perfect but considering what I started with, well, it turned out good. I'm happy with it. It is good to do something totally different every once in a while..... What do you think? You can now return to your regularly scheduled programming, already in progress... Thanks,
  10. Surprise surprise! Love them both!
  11. WOW! That is just amazing. Absolutely beautiful. It captures the soul of the real car. Welcome to the forum. What an entrance! Thanks,
  12. Cool! Never thought of white for that car but it looks great!
  13. As with all other builds from you, it looks great. Not only you do nice work, but I also like your subject choices as well. Glad to see the article was helpful! That is on my list of future builds. Thanks,
  14. That side profile stance looks great! Great color choice. Thanks,
  15. Very nice! One of my all time favorite Jaguars.... Thanks,
  16. Gorgeous car! Good clean job! But you need more light in your pictures. They are too dark. Thanks,
  17. Cool! Those wheels look great on it. I've built a few of those and it is one of my favorite cars. Thanks,
  18. I missed this the first time around. Looks like a very interesting project been mostly metal. For the seam I would recommend Milliput fine grain putty. It doesn't shrink and sands beautifully. The car in the reference pic is gorgeous. I'll follow this one, as long as you don't hot rod it Thanks,
  19. That is beautiful! Wow!
  20. Looking great Jim! I'm loving this project. Is the grille opening the correct size or is it a tad small? Maybe the chrome molding makes it look smaller. This body needs to be casted Don't worry about the timeframe. You may finish it by the time I'm done with Danica's car. Regards,
  21. Cool! I think that's the best color for that car. Personally, I prefer the coupe over the roadster. Thanks,
  22. Cool! I'll check it out. I'm a big cooking enthusiast....
  23. - Don't be frugal. Be generous! If you try to save 1/32 of an inch cutting it too short you will end up throwing away 4 square inches.... - Get the enlarged combo of patience. Work slow.
  24. David, I ran out of words for your work long ago. And this makes it even harder. What a sight! Of course that makes yet another subject I'm not even consider trying You made justice to one of the most beautiful sounding cars ever! Thanks,
