  1. I actually found that. It was about 6 pages in on the general thread. I still didn't know how to find the URL but maybe I just didn't know where to look.
  2. (only) Two cans of plastikote T237 primer(sorry to rub it in, ismael ) and one can of T236.

Well, here is the model of what I wanted my last 1:1 car to have eventually looked like...sort of... This one is right-hand-drive to be a British model. I even matched the reg letter on the licence plates to the right year! But I digress... I could build my current 1:1 to look like this but I don't want to color change. Anyway, enough babble, here's the pics: Oh, and I almost forgot; its a Fujimi, so its a curbside, but that's OK! Let me know what you think! ...and go easy this is only my second real attempt at painting
  4. No wonder! Boy, how simple is that! Thank you Bob, I truly appreciate it. I will have to upgrade the account to a premium one.
  5. Not to hijack the thread but, it is on topic... My question is where do I find the URL on my fotki site to type in the "insert image" box? I am not very computer literate either, so I don't have a clue where to look. I know I have everything I need to do it but I'm stuck. I'm not getting frustrated yet but I have many pics I'm accumulating and don't know how to show them off. Maybe a tutorial for all us 'NOOBZ' would be a good idea. I know not all of the new folks popping up here are not new to the internet but I surely can't be the only one who is! Thank you in advance for any help offered!
  6. Looks great! I absolutley must build one of those '71s for myself. You did a heluva job on a "quick build". Isn't it great when a simple one comes out so good? Keep it up!
  7. ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! I'm a huge fan of pro touring and this looks like its going to be a doozy! As usual your ideas are a cut above the pack. Keep it up!
  8. Yes, big welcome! I'm another noob and I have to say this place is great too! I like your direction on the '29 and I have he same kit waiting. Can't wait to see what you do with it.
  9. Looks great! I really like the front bumper treatment. I was going to use the tuner bumper with the bottom shaved a bit and the lower air ducts filled, but it still looked too big. Now you are going to make me get mine done for the Nov. meeting. Oh yeah, did you lower it or is that stock? I don't have the suspension together enough on mine to know if it needs "adjustment"
  10. Your engine detail is great! I can't wait to see the finished product. Oh, and yeah, where did you get the Ardun setup? resin? kitbash?
  11. I love the 1:1 drum brake hardware for rear suspension parts! SHEER GENIUS!!! This makes me want to do large scale too. If I only had enough room!
  12. yeah, or "NO CLUE"!
  13. Yeah, sorry I'm a newb to most of this hobby. Didn't know how poor the engine in the kit was! Anyway, still gonna like it no matter what engine (except for a rotary ) you put in it.
  14. Hey marcos, lookin' good so far! Don't you have the 429 from the Comet kit? That would be pretty cool, or even a SOHC 427 would be too!! Just my $.02
  15. Everybody pretty much summed it up already: nice people, laid back, high skill level, and no bickering!
  16. Yeah, this is another kit that proves I was born 20 years too late! Very cool find!
  17. Looking forwrd to it! I really enjoy Real or Model? and your What if's..
  18. ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!!
  19. Looks great, even without weathering! I especially like the portable radio on the dog house!
  20. That looks killer!!! Until I saw your build I wouldn't have even given a car I thought was ugly a chance to build. Now I just have to build one! Keep it going, looking great!
  21. Well, here I am. This is my first computer that actually belongs to me so I can actually partake in the fun you all are having! My name is Jonathan and I'm a 31 year old model car addict. I have sold VW parts for a living at the local dealership for 8 years now. I have been around VW's (water-cooled, no bugs) for the last 20 years(that's not a typo ) because of my older brother's influences on my father and myself. We started building modified Rabbits, Sciroccos, and Corrados from wrecks, keeping two and selling off the rest. My dad and I still have about 5 unfinished projects lying around that I know I'm going to be finishing for the next 20 years . What got me here was quitting smoking back in February. I needed something to keep my hands busy and I had an assortment of Fujimi VW and Audi kits not done and an AMT/Ertl Chevy 454SS p/u truck that I started to channel and stopped due to lack of interest. The truck was the first one I finished, followed shortly after by the Fujimi Pokal '87 Golf. Both came out pretty nice by my own high standards. To expand on the magazines I found in hobby shops and book stores I went to the web. First I lurked on the other(horrible) site then I came across this forum and felt like I was home . I also found the local model car club on here and joined at one of the events they had a display set-up. They are a bunch of great guys who are incredibly talented(you know who you are)! I don't have a camera yet but it's coming. I can't wait to try to post pictures for the first time . So that's it everybody, Gregg, Jairus, hello and thank you for running the best site on the web for model cars!
