  1. ...and I thank you for it! I caught the tail end of Zebm1's stay here and I must say, his posts gave me a headache! I am a stickler for spelling and grammar. At least everyone on here tries to spell right! I guess it's because I love to read and seeing errors that shouldn't be there just take away some of the enjoyment. Keep up the good work, and keep expanding the mag, it just gets better every issue. :D
  2. Seriously, that is the only way to keep the playing field level! It still doesn't mean he won't start with a picture that already leans one way or the other just to throw us off! (Like say, the last two!!)
  3. O.K....(drawing a deeep breath,) I am pretty sure I know what this is. I'm not, however, going to vote until I've looked at the pic. on my screen at home! This screen is a 21" Trinitron tube but it's 10 years old. Brightness and contrast just don't seem up to today's standards. I know it sounds like I'm taking this too seriously but, man, I sure like to be right, and I haven't gotten any official votes right! Before my computer arrived I lurked on here during free time at work. Then, my record was perfect! It really doesn't matter, but I wanna be
  4. That is abso-freakin-loutely HILARIOUS!!!! One of the funniest harmless pranks I've seen! anybody know where to get a few of these?
  5. AAAAHHHHHHHGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now that I can vote, I can't get any of them right! Seriously, the center mirror gave it away for me after I voted
  6. Very cool! I love the engine and the extra detailing you did on yours. I bought one of those Custom Shop Vickie's too. Mine was about $8 because it was the hot pink one. It's just getting a coat of paint and assembled. I just love seeing someone elses take on a subject I'm tackling, it pushes me to finish mine. Good luck in Toledo!
  7. It appears you and I have a few common kits! I have this Nova and the Vickie in your other post on my workbench right now. anyway.... The Nova looks great! The wheels look cool on there. Engine bay is nice and tidy. If this is your first pro-touring build, you did pretty darn good! The only thing I see off at all is the rear's a little high. Still smokin' though! What do you normally build?
  8. If it's this stuff: it is a little different because it is a bit "thicker" for lack of a better term. It is a really good filler primer and it doesn't seem to craze newer kits weaker plastic. I have used both and they are both good but aren't the same.
  9. AWWWW, Come on! You know I like the front tires that fender scraping!!! Looking super, Bill. You should leave the wheels plated. They do look great that way. Besides, you can use it for an excuse to be lazy! Are you going to the Nov. meeting? I'd love to see it there!
  10. Lookin' great so far man! Those Pirelli tires are absolutely perfect vintage for the car. Are you going to two-tone it or just the blue? Either way its gonna be sweet! Lets see if you can get that thing as low as my GTI!
  11. Where did get the engine stand that the merc kit's caddy engine is sitting on? It looks like it wouldn't be too hard to scratch build. Love the color on the merc too. I'm not too big on show rods but that one looks pretty good. What color scheme are you going with?
  12. It's not on news stands yet. Hobby shops carry it, and of course by subscription. It's only $29 per year so it's a good deal. This issue mentions about going to the news stands, but it's all in process.
  13. Have to agree there! Each issue just gets better! The photo features are well timed for me at least, because I just bought my first digicam last week. That is definitely another hobby I've been interested in but haven't really done anything about it until recently. So thanks for feeding both of my newfound hobbies at once!
  14. WOW, I know you just started, but this is gonna be cool! Modelhaus sure got the look of the B-pillar right. I thought the original Revell body was very good but man, the resin body just nails it! Seeing both bodies together proves it to me. Can't wait to see the color on it.
  15. Thank you to all. Yeah marcos, it is pretty simple but there is a lot of clean-up work on it. That was probably 2/3 of the total build time! Don't forget to bring that to a meeting when you finish it. I really want to see someone else's take on it.
  16. Love the paint man, show us more!
  17. Too funny! These words were floating around in my head as I typed the earlier response.
  18. Maybe Harry is going easy on us this week! I dunno, it sure looks like a model to me but, the background has been p-shopped... Maybe he's getting out the big guns because we have been tough to fool!!! I just don't wanna wait til friday
  19. I bought this one at my first cpmcc meeting. I challenged myself to do it in a week and I pulled it off. I don't care for the top that came with it, so I didn't use it. Taillights didn't do it for me either so deep six too. The tank came from a spare tree laying around and it's actually a 1:25 scale gasser tank! Thanks for looking!
  20. Looking good! I'm a sucker for these body GM p/u's. Even if they're lifted! All of my builds are scared of heights though. ;)

    87 VW GTI

Thanks guys, I apprecate it. I have more VW's and Audi's to build but I am not in any hurry to build them at the moment. I have an itch to build domestic right now, and it's really bad! Watch this space!
  22. Or gets annoyed by the frequency of the lame ads! I can't STAND "saturation advertising"! Examples: "Year-end auto manufacturers clearance sales" Those Cialis ads(you know, the ones with the whistling and the dude with poop-eating grin the whole time!) OK, I vented. This isn't the Rants n Raves section so i'll stop now.
  23. Thanks Harry! I am actually using the two week trial on the fotki site, but now I know where to go. Good thing I only uploaded six pics to my free fotki account!
  24. Yeah, I just figured out how to right click on my Mac on tues. nite!
  25. This is what I discovered a few nights ago when I used the attachment system. Only 500K of space is available to each user. Unless there is some setting Gregg can change, that is all we have to work with. Yeah, I used mine up with 3 pics!!! The best way (seemingly) is to use an online photo hosting site. If you check in Ask G & J today there is a thread going on right now about this topic. Hopefully all of our questions will be answered. edit: Oh yeah, how rude, I didn't even tell you how much I like the truck! Looks awesome! I should have my 454SS Chebbie over in Under Glass soon. 8:
