  1. Primer Woo Hoo. I am so stoked. Chris will you be at the DSC next week?
  2. If we had a Cranky Donn show I would definatly tune in
  3. How long do I have to wait before I can handle Alclad paint finish? I also have a second question where do you get pearl X and are they powders, or liquid, and is it something that comes in different colors.?
  4. I was using Duplicolor brand, from a spray can. And ran into some trouble before, I dont want, or need that Nightmare again. Would it be better to Decant then spray the clear out of my airbrush?
  5. After using Acrylic Enamel clear, when is it safe to recoat? What needs to be done before recoating. To avoid the clear attacking and crazing?
  6. I like it. Hey if you dont want those plastic tires I could sure use them.
  7. I recently got this Airbrush. I think its an IWATA brand, sold thru Mac tools. However it could be an I WANTA? brand, it has no markings on it. Just the box it came with from Mac with part # AB-480. It has a slightly damaged nozzle. I would like to replace it. If I just knew for sure what it was. http://public.fotki.com/Gabriel12/cool-tools/cool-tools/ Here are some pics if anyone can help this is the place.
  8. I think Modelhaus made a caddy like this. It was a complete kit very heavy and sells for over $120.00 if I remember correctly I wish I had a picture of it. It was fairly new to the lineup offererd about a year and a half ago.
  9. WOW good job
  10. I've always really liked this car but never had the kit. I don't recall seeing them in stores, even in the early '70s when I first started building. In fact, the only place I've ever seen one for sale is ebay. Does anyone know why this has never been reissued? The rumor, I have heard is that the molds were destroyed/ or lost or both. Either way its too bad it is a very cool little kit. I also heard it may have been issued only twice in its lifetime, which is a tradgedy because prices for these at auctions can become expensive very quickly.
  11. Just finished putting the white in the whitewalls, but I'm wondering if I should make it semi-gloss? I think that would give it a more natural appearance. Gotta wait till the paint is dried then I'll shoot some pictures and post them. Man, that was a tedious job. Painted each tire with a toothpick and used the capillary method. Anyone have an easier way of doing that for the next time? Are you doing wide whitewalls? I usually cut circles out with a template the correct size(very important step). Using the green masking tape. I then stick them on to my tires burnish them down with a wooden type of tool that my wife, used to use for her cuticles but is more useful to me, and Airbrush with very light mist coats of Acrylic white followed with acrylic flat clear. Its not hard and looks really good.like these http://public.fotki.com/Gabriel12/green-coupe/5.html
  12. I have heard a lot about this kit over the years. but have not seen very many built. I have built the Chopped Duece when I was younger it was pretty cool. However, I was going through a Firecracker phase and nothing was sacred.
  13. Very good work. I am liking it so far. I have two of these kits, Both need headers though, other than that they are sound complete kits.
  14. good luck with getting those fenders to fit in the first picture
  15. Thats called Huffing, And that explains Why you would'nt sell me those Photoetched transfer scripts. Down in Tucson the other day.
  16. Marcus you could first apply masking tape to hold the window temporarily then use two part epoxy a small amount is all you would need.
  17. Very Nice build Marcos
  18. It goes right in line with what the Politicians here in my state are trying to do with My Budget. and the what the banks have already done.
  19. Very Impressive keep up the good work.
  20. Now I am noticing how unrealistic that bracket looks
  21. Drat drat and double drat, If you can't find plasticote around locally. Duplicolor makes a vg substitute.
  22. That sure is a nice build
  23. Venting with a Y pipe does'nt sound like a good Idea to me. What if the fumes became trapped and lingered in the dryer tubing then became ignited by the dryers heating element. I dont know if this is possible, but do you really want to find out.
  24. I would like to suggest buying The old mans video. it certainly could help answer some of your questions and give you really useful tips
