  1. I've decided that 2009 will be the year of the resin builds. Like many of us, I have a lot of resin bodies and kits that just haven't gotten built, so I'm planning on these. '32 Sedan Delivery from Reps & Mins (already started) '41 chopped Chevy from RMR '41 Chevy Panel Truck from RMR '49 Cadillac custom from The Modelhaus '42 Ford street rod, converted from a '48 coupe from Perry's resin. '36 Ford Sedan Delivery from Flintstone. I have several other resin kits,,,,,,let's just see how far I get. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL.
  2. Your '37 is proudly displayed next to Irv Arter and Harry Charon cars in my showcase. Oh yeah, there's a GTX from Cruz there too. My "Pee Wee" cars are in a different showcase. I really enjoy the models I have from other builders. Thanks Andy, and Happy New Year.
  3. And here's the last two. ( I just found out you can only post 10 images in one post)
  4. Reps & Mins product catalog is right here: http://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc...casminiatureof/
  5. Once again, from me and from MAMA
  6. That could sit next to any of Ricky's models and it would be right at home. Great job and a very nice tribute.
  7. That's just about how Lloyd Woddington does it.
  8. Painted is correct. Johnny, tell Mr. Cotto what he's won.
  9. Ray Parsons only sells directly at shows.
  10. Tom - this one is yours if I get tired of it in my showcase someday,,,,,,or when I take a dirt nap.
  11. I just realized I never posted the link to the many more pictures from the meeting. http://public.fotki.com/mamaprez/model-clu...meeting--holid/
  12. Food for 100 people. LOTS of models! 1/4th scale humans. Extremely enhanced and modified diecasts. Amazing cool plastic. HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL.
  13. Wait. It's not a "69? Aren't ya oging to duplicate the 1:1 you're building?
  14. Congrats John,,,,,,,,,,but ya better be at the meeting today. We need all the people we can find to eat all the food.
  15. LOL. If you say so.
  16. I have an original and an original box, waiting for the same treatment. I'm going to get to it,,,,,one of these days. Great job Irv.
  17. Inspired by photos of a car taken by Tom Kren, I started this build many months ago. Just a simple Malibu street machine. Grille and all photoetched details from The Model Car Garage. 350 from a Smoothster kit. Thanks again to Steve Milberry for the resin Malibu hood.
  18. Hok flating can generally be cured with massive doses of antibiotics, but it must be treated early before it becomes stage II hok flating, sometimes called hok glossing.
  19. Then I did it right, I guess.
  20. I believe there was just that one drawing. In the interior, I carried over the theme of the bed cover. The engine, I just picked from the appropriate era. I'm sure the engine is probably a 409 from some kit, but I choose to call it a 348.
  21. Typo. Thanks. Sorry Jairus. I know what it's like to have people spell your name incorrectly all your life.
  22. Hey Izzy,,,I bet you win! Tough choice. They are all just great, as always.
  23. Here's the drawback to posting old builds. I don't know what kit I got an engine from many years ago. I think the ribbed valve covers are from the AMT '57 Chevy,,,,but I could be wrong. Uh,,,,,,I think I lowered the suspension with lowering blocks. I think I lowered the front by placing the axle above the springs,,,,,,,,,maybe. The models are in my basement model room and I'm 2 floors up on the computer.
  24. from a Jarius Watson drawing. If I recall, I used '59 Chevy Impala wheels covers, but otherwise, stayed pretty close to the original drawing.
