  1. The Merc and the Buick are being built by Jeff Sauber.
  2. Marcos Cruz's Falcon Jeff Sauber is working on this Buick custom. After spending 2 months on this model, most people wanted to know about the little flocked dog on the backseat ! Sheeeesh! More pics at the link from today's meeting: http://public.fotki.com/mamaprez/model_clu...meeting_922006/
  3. That's great Tom. She did a great job and I can see she is proud of what she has built. I'll see if I can find pictures of the models my daughter built in the early 90's so your daughter can copy all of them.
  4. Those 3 colors are great together. This is going to be a killer car!
  5. Here's a LINK to the online catalog for REPLICAS & MINIATURES COMPANY OF MARYLAND. http://public.fotki.com/Rikster/replicas__...e/rmcm_catalog/
  6. That is just perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Dave, thanks for the great pics. I fixed your Jungle Pam pic. You never want to let good cleavage go to waste,,,,,no matter how old the cleavage is getting. (Actually, she's still a young chick to me.)
  8. Replicas & Miniatures Co. of Md. makes resin surf boards.
  9. DeSoto bumper/grille from old AMT parts pack. Wheels from '66 Riviera kit. Here's the interior I spent a month on. He's not sick,,,,,,,,just old and tired (not to mention stuffed!) A bunch more pics of this one, if you're interested, at the link: http://public.fotki.com/mamaprez/lyles_mod...treet_machines/
  10. When was the last time you saw a 1942 Lincoln Continental 4 door coupe? (The commonly accepted answer would be "never".) At the link are 319 pics of street rods, muscle cars, street machines, protouring cars, etc, etc. http://public.fotki.com/mamaprez/car_shows...mond_nationals/
  11. Might want to make that a Coke,,,,,Ben says he's 14. But in the spirit of forum teamwork, I'll be happy to drink Ben's portion of beer.
  12. Leave the lines there, Billy. Choo Choo Customs removed the factory front facade and installed the Monte Carlo-like nosepiece. BTW, the nose piece did NOT interchange with a Monte. They looked the same but were a different size.
  13. The locals call this show "The Church Of The Holy Doughnut" cruise because it's on Sunday morning in front of the Dunkin Donuts. 107 pics at the link: http://public.fotki.com/mamaprez/car_shows...morning_crui-1/
  14. Yep, but it usually doesn't stick very well and (long ago) when I tried to rub it down and buff it, the gold wore off. Maybe I just had a bad sheet. It's also a very bright gold but the candy wrapping paper foil I'm using looks much more like the spear insert on a '57 Ford.
  15. The Lincoln is a Danbury Mint diecast with in-scale, working hood hinges and just about working everything else. Goes for about $150.
  16. I never found out who brought them to the meeting, but someone said it was over $300.
  17. Dave - picture posting is exactly the same here as on the S.A. forum.
  18. Chuck Conners' cute little uh,,,,,,,uh,,,,,,(car of foreign origin) model. Harold Bradford's complete Cheetah kit is coming along nicely. Obviously, we're all about BUILDING model cars, but there were some incredible diecasts displayed today. Here's the link to more: http://public.fotki.com/mamaprez/model_clu...eeting_8192006/
  19. Nice to see ya over here, Dave. For those who didn't know, Dave collected some gold at GSL and had cars on the cover of SAE back in the days when he was building BIG car models (1/25th)
  20. As Randy Derr is famous for saying, "have you ever seen paint on a car you just wanted to lick?" Bill - you can lick this one in October, but please do it on your own time AFTER I've gone back home. BTW, I'm NOT implying that my paint jobs even come close to Tom's. Bluemoose cars are true works of art!
  21. If there was such a thing as a plastic modelling god, his name would be Juha Airio. I would be thrilled to meet him some day. I also want to meet one of my all-time artistic heros - JAIRUS WATSON, which i hope to do this coming October in Maumee. Dan Peterson - I couldn't imagine for one moment, that my name would be mentioned in the same sentence with Bill Geary and Larry Boothe. It would take me 5 years to build a model car that would even be close to what they build. Wait,,,,,,,,,,,,it takes THEM 5 years to build a model. Hey, maybe I'm on to something here. (Thanks, Dan)
  22. George B. must have recently changed his rules regarding visiting. It has been confirmed by several people that I am, indeed, a whacko, yet I have been in George's house several times. Well,,,,,,,,,uh,,,,,,,,,no one was home during those times, but I did take the time to shuffle the model kits around so he wouldn't know that some were missing. HEY JAIRUS,,,,,,,,,,neener, neener, neener. (Contrary to popular rumors, her other hand is ABOVE my belt!)
  23. Irv,,,,,,,,lay those ignition wires down. There's gravity on this planet, ya know. If I knew you were going to do a '58, I would have given you this car instead, to save you the time.
  24. jb,,,,,,,,Bill's Jag pictures can be seen by clicking on the Fotki link, just above the picture in his post.
