  1. Harry Charon's beautiful '51 Victoria. Bill Stillwagon started with an old plastic 1/20th scale toy, warped roof, no interior - and produced this killer car. It's a '50 Plymouth wagon. 2007 pro-mod Camaro. Beautiful Dick Landy tribute built by Ron Dressler. We had about 80 members show up today,,,,,and we didn't even have free food! 111 pics at the link: http://public.fotki.com/mamaprez/model-clu...eeting-1202007/
  2. NNL EAST is 2 months away, but if you can wait that long, I'm sure one or more vendors will have all the Pegasus wheels you could want.
  3. Throughout 2006, I had heard from very reliable (inside the hobby) sources that Revell was going to introduce the 2 door sedan modified reissue '32 at the Oct. hobby show. Obviously, they didn't! Maybe there is still hope this year. It's fairly easy to modify a Switchers '32 body to fit the Revell kit, but you have to scratch the interior side panels.
  4. Some early rods had the fuel pump mounted under the car just forward of the gas tank. Some had them mounted to the firewall, at the bottom, under the fuel distribution block. Of course, it's a street rod, so almost any location would work, because street rods are custom built.
  5. What the hell is a Fuunt CAr? I don't know how they ever elected you president. Tommy must have been your speech writer,,,,or is that speach righter
  6. Sean - I just looked at your website. All of your models are wonderful. You are quite talented.
  7. I've used it and it is very nice, as are all of the MCG products. Of course, without an 8 megapixel camera and a huge monitor, you won't actually see the grille as you would in person.
  8. Very nice. I like the color.
  9. I guess the sad trend continues from last year. We are losing a lot of drag racing icons.
  10. Reps & Mins advertises in virtually every model magazine. Their address is in the picture. Phone 410-768-3648 or email; replmincomd@aol.com NO WEBSITE
  11. It wasn't much of an idea. I took apart a diecast and repainted it. I'll give it back to Irv - I'm starting to run out of room.
  12. I got this little diecast from Irv Arter on Saturday. I think it's about 1 /27th scale. Here's the BEFORE picture. Took it apart and filed away some metal to make the windshield more realistic in size. Primed with Duplicolor Sandable Primer. Paint is Duplicolor Orange Metalcast with Tamiya clear orange and then lots of Dup. Clear Lacquer. Decals are from One of the Revell chopper kits. Tailights added from a '32 Ford kit. Repainted the interior. Probably, Irv will want it back now!
  13. Well, somebody has to represent CHEVY! There are more but my fingers are tired.
  14. Go here. Item #52 http://public.fotki.com/davetoups/aftermar...arts/page3.html
  15. More pics at the link: http://public.fotki.com/mamaprez/model-clu...meeting-162007/
  16. Here's one of Norm's engines, assembled. This should help a little.
  17. I didn't see the thread, but it was probably deleted because of their "no free advertising" policy. I posted a pic on the S.A. forum of resin chopper fenders, still in the package, from Reps & Mins and the thread was deleted. I was told it was free advertising. But, for some reason, it's okay to use the fenders on a built-up chopper model and then say where you got them!!!!! Then, by way of email, I was practically accused of being a "plant" for Norm to advertise for him. Not only was I insulted by that idea, but I feel it was a hell of an insult to Norm Veber, who has advertised in every S.A. issue for the past 23 years. Sorry,,,,,,I'll go take my medicine now and curl up in a corner.
  18. Randy - cheerful demeanor? I thought I was known for being a sarcastic, grumpy old fart. Well, you've just ruined my day. I'm going to have to work harder at this. :?
  19. Ah, you have much to learn, Glasshopper. Put the tires on the wheels before you paint the whitewalls.
  20. Fantastic work. That's beautiful!
  21. Rick, I get wire from lots of places. Radio Shack has wire that's a little thicker than the aftermarket spark plug wire. Detail Master sells wire in many gauges. Also, all the large craft store have several gauges or wire, either colored or silver, gold, copper, etc.
  22. The whitewalls were just painted with a brush. Polly Scale acrylics dry very evenly with NO brush marks. I just used the natural bead on the sidewall as the guide.
  23. Wrap-around fenders and fat tank from Replicas & Miniatures Co. of Md. Paint is Duplicolor silver and Metalcast blue (candy blue). Angled plug boots from Reps & Mins. Scratchbuilt primary cover. Blue wire used for piping. The,,,uh,,,,doodads are little chromed round things from a Revell '31 Model A kit and the "leather" tassels are painted masking tape. Whitewalls were painted with Polly Scale flat white. Okay,,,,,,,on to the next one.
  24. I'd be the last person to take money away from Norm, but if you want a perfectly flat firewall, why not just cut one out of sheet plastic.
