  2. I had some time to install the oil tanks and radiators, I had these sitting around and built over a year ago. again thanks for looking and the support Chris
  3. They do say Ferrari’s can fly...I almost tested that theory
  4. I had a chance to merry the engine to the tub. I will say it wasn’t without a lot of struggle. Parts started to pop off and I started sweating and getting frustrated. So I put it down and went and visited my daughter for the weekend. Went to the Sacramento Autorama, got to see some cool stuff and got my mind right. When I got home, took a deep breath and got at it... Hope you like Chris
  5. Oh I forgot to mention that I got the front knuckles and brakes on ?
  6. I happen to get some bench time tonight, been working on some small details that where omitted from the kit. It may not be correct for the car, and I have been using what I have laying around to give it a more realistic look. I am happy with the look, and my progress. Thanks for looking Chris
  7. Looks great!! I do understand your pain... I have had the same thought a few times about throwing my build into a wall. your perseverance has paid off with outstanding results. Chris
  8. I got some major stuff accomplished in the front bulkhead. Front wishbones, brake master cylinder and radiator. Hope you like Chris
  9. Thanks Bruce! I don’t know about being an artist.... Just trying to do my best
  10. Hello all ... I finally have a update on my build. As you all know it’s just a little too cold to paint anything outside. Even hear in Nor Cal. So I asked a friend for a favor if he could spray the clear in his paint booth at his body shop. So I brought him my peace’s to get done. Now hears the funny part, he assures me that it won’t be that long of a wait to get it done... Well I guess 3 weeks isn’t long.... lol I got them back today, they look great!! Now I can try to get back on track with this. Thanks for looking Chris
  11. It was my first time ever to a model car show. A lot of quality builds... met some cool people. I do wish I could have met some more. Maybe next year I will have something to display.

  16. This is some amazing craftsmanship Tim! Also wanted to thank you for the encouraging words on my build Chris
  17. So, after a few long days of waiting for replacement decals. They arrived last week! I got my stubby little fingers to work. For the last couple of nights I got to put all the decals on. Now if Mother Nature would be kind enough to warm up enough so I can put on some clear. I may need to ask my buddy who has a body shop, if I can use his paint booth.
  18. Thank you and for the heads up on the decals ?
  19. Thanks Bruce!! As of this moment I have enough paint. Just trying to find enough patience. Replacement decals can’t get here quick enough. by the way: where is the show being held at? I have never been to one
  20. Thanks for the kind words. I was able to find another set of decals on e bay.? hopefully I will get back at in a couple weeks, in the meantime I will prep it again.
  21. Beautiful build Bruce!! I just seem not to be able to get enough of this eye candy. I am sure it looks better in person, hope it shows well for you!
  22. I can’t believe how frustrating a hobby can be. I had the large gum ball decal wrinkle up and after numerous times of trying to get it to lay flat, I have no luck whatsoever ??? so now I will have to try to start over again. I am super frustrated. After I calm down and realize that this is a learning experience all will be good again. For those few who are keeping an eye on this build I do thank you. Your kind words and encouragement do make this process fun and enjoyable. Chris
  23. Thanks for the kind words! I was going to try the regular rivets, but I found the archer ones and gave this a shot. They do have there plus’s quick and easy, there minuses is that they can fold onto itself which is a pain. It did take me a wile to lay them out. I think next time I will be doing the old fashion way. chris
