Sorry guys, I dont that much about engines. This one didnt have an oil filter so I just stuck one on. The point was to display the animation. Glad you enjoy it.

It wasn't part of the plan but this engine fits so nice in this cradle that I think it will stay here. it's funny how things just happen

The instructions call it a 440 by Chrysler. It is even stamped "Chry." On the inside

This was from the AMT '49 Mercury kit. This idea hit me yesterday evening so I began work right away. I finished up this morning. I used a mini motor and ran the wires out of the starter. Not really sure what I'll do with it, it was just an idea I had and acted on it. No build thread because it happened so fast. Thanks for looking

Who doesn't love a mock-up? Let's see yours!

Aw, man this is gonna be cool! -
I pulled an old AMT snap fast plus off the shelf. I built this at least 25 years ago. When I did, I lowered it and gave it low profile tires and gold wire wheels. At the time I was really into lowriders. Now she wears the factory wheels she came with. I added the articulating front wheels and screen behind the grille. I'm not sure but I might give her a fresh paint job.

The Hinman roadster, a study in rust update 1/18/23
Slotto replied to Bullybeef's topic in WIP: Model Cars
I really dig this build. The rust you've done is super convincing -
Really cool build!

That's a delicate rear suspension. Looking good

I was fiddling with the front suspension and all but destroyed the right side. I counted to 10 and walked away. After dinner I assessed the damage and it wasn't as bad as I thought. I was able to repair the upper control arm and I am back to where I was before the incident. I have no idea where the exhaust went to so I used up the last of my copper wire. I'll go back for more for sure. I used 5/32 plastic tubing as the glasspacks.
