Nice Mopar David. Great finish on that body
-
The ride height is just about there I layed down some carpet Now that the foundation just about sorted out, I'll fab up some sort of differential and run in the drive shaft. Moving right along

I wanted to keep the suspension that came with the kit but boy is it flimsy. Keeping it box stock, I could see that the spindles would be popping off of the control arms so I reinforced the situation with some pins. Getting that low life look was pretty easy with this suspension. All I had to do was snip a little off the shocks.

My inspiration is this... I know, it's a '36. The paint is olive green with a little black mixed in. The body was then sprayed with Krylon matte clear. I managed to detail up the headlight buckets and running boards and install them The frame is just about done without the suspension. Engine is painted up and partially assembled. I guess next I'll finish up the engine and set the ride height and work on the suspension Painted up the headers and exhaust I brush painted the air filter and taillight assemblies because I was too lazy to shoot 2 smalls. It wasn't worth it to me to spray them and clean the gun. The 2 red dots are the taillights. Stay Tuned...

You are doing great! Love the chassis

Yep its acrylic. It's pretty easy to work with and easy to mix. I like it because I can use it indoors without stinking up the house.

'37 Ford Coupe by Revell. The color is Olive Green mixed with a little black then coated in matte clear. I was inspired by this... -
I really liked the pale yellow color on that rusty example above so that's what I'm going with. Its Light Yellow by Craft Smart mixed 2:1 with IPA 70 shot at 15psi. Tomorrow I'll hit it with a matte clear coat.
