  1. Never mind.I found a thread that said they were from Competition Resins.
  2. I am thinking of building Ron Mancinis Dart.I found the decals by Lucas. It loks like it used a Centerline type of wheels.Does anyone know for sure and where to find them?? Thanks, George
  3. This is a tough one Harry!!! I see a lack of rust holes and damage to bottom of body.It just seams to me that a car sitting on the ground,in the weather, would have more damage!!! Also, the suspension seems off to me. I voted model this time!!!!
  4. Hi Harry. You picked a good one for #200. I voted real because I think I see something that says real to me. Thanks for doing this every 2 weeks. My wife and I look forward to it.
  5. John, stunning cars!!!! I am still working on my Beebe & Mulligan car that you helped me with instructions.I am a very slow builder, but,I love the process. Please show more pics of all of them!!!! Thanks again for your help!!!
  6. I love this idea.I like ESPN Fantasy better than NFL or CBS sites.I have played in all three and just find ESPN draft lobby easier to use. Also,It is easier to set up a custom league. How many teams? Please let me know if this is a go.
  7. Hey Alberto, sounds like a great idea!!!! Are you going to build the shops and houses from scratch or buy them as kits? Please keep us informed with pics!!!
  8. Sad to hear this.I met him when he and Muhammad Ali were filming the movie"The Greatest" He played Angelo Dundee and Ali played himself.I met them when they were filming the water cooler scene where there were two of them, one for each race. This was done in Morningside Park in Miami.I always wished I had the smarts to get them to sign something.Oh well,I at least have the memories.
  9. I buy and sell on E-Bay.My feedback is 100%. He should refund the entire price to you and since it was his mistake,If he wants the kit back he pays postage. If he does not do this, continue with your case with Paypal. This is just my opinion. I get very tired of people trying to sham other people. He should learn something with this transaction, but,I don't think he will. Most sellers want to keep their good feedback score.I know I do. Before you bid on an item, check the sellers feedback score and look at their feedback page to see what other people say.
  10. Wife says Model and I know better to say otherwise!! :D She enjoys this game and spends about an hour looking at it trying to figure it out. This has given her more respect for modeling!!!
  11. Hi Austin,My wife and I used to live in the big O.Moved to NC in 1991. Try Colonial Photo and Hobby on Colonial Drive.Don't know if they are still there after all this time.Check out the yellow pages online for hobby shops in the area. Hope this helps, George
  12. Brendan, thanks again and thanks for the tip on the clear!!! This place is the greatest for getting info for our modeling addiction!!!
  13. Brendan,Thanks for the info.I do not have an airbrush and will do the test.
  14. Hi guys, I have a couple of Tamiya F1 kits and in the instructions for the paint color it says this"X-18:1+XF-63:1" What does this mean?? I guess this is meant to mix colors, but, how??? Thanks,George
  15. Hey Bart,I am in the process of building the Night Stalker version.I have changed the color to bright red. I was fearing painting over the black, but,I used the Tamiya white fine primer, then painted it red using the Tamiya Italian Red and it turned out GREAT!!! I am waiting for it to gas out to spray the clear coat now. All of these are rattle cans, not airbrushed!! Hope this helps!!! :D
  16. I don't know a lot about clocks, but,If you were going to restore it for yourself only, then do it!!! If you were trying to restore it to sell it,most collectors of vintage items want it in the condition it is in now. They want the patina on it and might not like the way you restore it.You might just clean it a bit with soap and water but nothing abrasive. Just my 2 cents worth!! :D
  17. Thanks guys for taking the time to respond to me.I tried the Photobucket editor and find it works GREAT!!! Thank you Casey for letting me know about that. Thanks to all with their suggestions.I found another photo site called Picasa 3.It seams to be fun to work on this one. It stores your pics and is very easy to edit them!!! Thanks again guys!!!! This is a GREAT forum and I enjoy being a small part of it. George Bluhm
  18. Thanks for your responses!!! Casey,I will try your idea.It will be fun to try that. From what you all say,I guess I will just have to live with the color I get. I am just an oldster and am used to a film camera where you get the right color.
  19. Hi,We have GREAT photographers here and they shoot their models all the time. I used the Testors One Coat Lacquer on my '55 Chevy. It came out a color my wife says is closest to a Burnt Orange.I have tried everything to take a pic of it and can't get the right color. It photographs with more red than it has.I have tried shooting indoors with the flash and without.I have also tried shooting outside in the shade and in the sun with and without flash.I get the same thing. Both of us see the same color and I was wondering if anyone has any ideas of what I can try.I want to post pics here when I can. I do not have anything like Photoshop to alter the color. thanks in advance for any help, George Bluhm Oh by the way,I have a Nikon Coolpix S6100 camera.
  20. My wife says model so that got my vote!!! This one is really hard to tell,Harry is making us more nuts than we are already.
  21. Hi Jim,I use a Nikon Coolpix S6100.When you buy the camera,it comes with a CD to install on your computer. It has a program called Nikon Transfer on it.When you want to load your pics from camera to computer, just plug USB from computer to camera, hit power and it will upload what you have shot to a folder(I use My Pictures). Then you can do what you want with them. Hope this helps, George
