I can barely remember going to a dealership with my mom and dad.We would sit down and going through a booklet,pick out what you wanted on your car.Colors,options etc.You would make a down payment and they would male your car ship it to dealer and we went and picked it up. Now you just pick one on their lot and pay for options that you don't need or want. the auto companies put all that on cars because the consumer wants all those things that cause a distraction to driving. They make options that cost very little to put in,charge you a HUGE markup,then give you a couple of hundred dollars off

Big Daddy Don Garlits is working on an electric dragster. It looks like a top fuel car,but,doesn't have the motor. He is trying to get it to go 200 MPH in the 1000 FT dragstrip. He tested it recently and I think he got it to about 184 so far. Electric cars are coming in the future and we have to accept it. I still love the sounds and smells of NITRO in the morning!!!!
