  2. Hey guys,my wife took a pic of this that came to her work yesterday!!! It looks funky, and, she said it was really fast around the parking lot!!! Enjoy!!! I don't know what engine this has in it.
  3. I voted real on this one.I think I see a little dirt or dust on the front tire!!! Great Pic Harry!!!!

  6. I just noticed that my post hit page 400.That is incredible!!! We car modelers sure get a lot of STUFF. Hey Gregg or Harry, what do I win for page #400????
  7. I just received the new Candies and Hughes Funny Car!!!!! Been wanting one for a long time and couldn't afford the old one.Anyone gotten one yet?? Going to love building this one!!!! :P
  8. Tom,What about getting a used engine from a local junkyard, and ,either swapping it out yourself or having a friend that knows cars do it? I have a 2000 focus that lost the engine and found one for $400 and my friend had his kid put it in for something to do.Runs GREAT!!!
  9. Harry,This is a really hard one.I voted model on the advise of my better half. Thanks for the ROM.
  10. yes My dad was handy with his hands, but,he did not biuld I built any kit I could get my grubby hands on,cars,planes,tanks,ships,figures,etc... My dad was an Engineer for the Florida East Coast Railroad. I think I was about 7 or 8 It was about 1959 or so. When you get to be as old as me,the brain cells are the second thing to go I can't remember the first!!!
  11. Thanks Harry for sharing this.My wife and I love this game, debating the values of both answers.I think it is real, but she said model,so,KNOWING the correct thing to do,I voted model!!! :P
  12. I always thought you were a PRINCE of a guy!!!!
  13. Ok,I would like to play. 1. 1970 Plymouth Superbird Hemi 2.1969 Hemi Cuda 3.1967 Goat / tripower 4.1957 Chevy 427 5.Stingray split window 427
  14. I saw this on the show Inside Edition. It is nice to know there are still people that care about someone else.It is not a me first world. I have a bad case of Planter Fasciitis in my right foot, but, reading this story and watching the video,it doesn't hurt near as much. Thanks for posting it and now I will get back to building.
  15. I have to go with real on this one!!!! Thank you Harry for doing a game I have the time to play!!!!
  16. I have not had a problem with USPS.In fact,I recently sold some art prints and the box was mailed on Monday.the expected delivery was Friday. The package got there on Wednesday!!!! In a company as large as they are, handling as many products as they do,it would not be reasonable to not expect some glitches. I would guess that you just got caught up n the numbers and it was your time to see some glitches.
  17. Like many here,I got started very young.I don't remember how I started building.I would go to the shopping center and there were several stores that carried models. There was a store named Earl's Hardware that was more of a general store. They always had a bunch of models, cars, planes, armor, and ships.I built them all!!! Of course, that was when I did a model in a couple of days from start to end.Now it takes a couple of months or longer.I would go to Orange Blossom Hobbies to get kits and supplies, and,of course,K-mart. I remember building a bunch of 1/16 scale drag cars.I had to take a break for some time due to life events. I got back into the hobby about 15 years ago and found my LOVE of the hobby again.I enjoy all the resources we have now, including the best one, this forum. I really feel that this place has helped my skills get better.
  18. I have had great luck with the USPS.No I do not work for them. I sold some art prints this weekend. He paid on Monday,I shipped Tuesday and it said expected delivery was Friday. He got it Wed,was surprised it got there so quick and gave me great feedback. I have had more trouble with UPS than anyone.
  19. I am interested in the Grove car.IIRC there was an issue with the Gas Ronda and Blue Max Mustangs with the wheelbase of the chassis in relation to the body.Does anyone have the new kit and have they corrected this????
  20. Harry,Thanks for another ROM!!!! :) I am going with model on this one.The top and the door jams look off to me.
  21. Hi Rich,Those carbs look very nice, but, they look a little big to my eye.Of course,I am an OF and can't see anyway!!!
  22. Hi Kevin,I have sold on E-Bay for a few years now.I have shipped to Sweden,Germany,Australia, and the Philippines.I was able to help a guy in Australia get some kits he wanted.Everything worked GREAT!!!! Go by his feedback rating and number.Use customs number for tracking. It doesn't get the package to his door, but it shows you sent it and when. I love shipping to other countries to help out fellow modelers.I charge only what it costs me and it has been close.I have had to eat a few dollars once or twice, but,it was my fault for not being accurate in shipping info. Trust him and maybe you will get a friend. George
  23. I agree 1000%.I really enjoy this forum and have learned quite a bit.I feel that my models are a lot better from the tips and info from here. A GREAT big THANK YOU GREGG for this.
  24. Hi Dave!!!! I know this is an old thread, but,I am getting the decals. Do you have any finished pics???? PLEASE post!!!! Your car is looking GREAT!! Your paint looks FANTASTIC!!!!!!! George
