  1. I voted model on this one.I think Harry is trying to be extra sneaky with this one. I think it is a model on display in a tribute to Ford.Maybe at a plant?? Anyway, that is my vote and I am sticking to it!!!
  2. Beautiful job!!!! Great paint job with the two-tone.Did she come up with the color scheme or follow the one at the show. Ask her if she will teach me how to get this nice a build. We need more wives, girlfriends daughters,etc... in the hobby. Mine started doing the Star Wars scene with Luke and Yoda in the cave. She has no experience in models, but, has a lot of artistic talent.Watercolors, painting with oils and acrylics,etc... She just liked the idea of weathering it and likes Yoda. The hardest part will be dealing with the seams on the figures.
  3. Hey guys, I am under the impression that unless you have your model building as a business, you can't deduct any expenses for it.That would mean having income to show it as a business. You can't have a business with all deductions and no income. As stated above, you can always hope you don't get caught by the IRS.One of my coworkers hope she doesn't get caught.
  4. I had to confer with my wife on this one.She got the last one correct and I had no idea. She said it was real,so,that is what I voted. We will see Friday!!!!!
  5. Hey guys, Does anyone have an update for this??? I have been wanting one for a long time and missed out on the last re-issue. Will it have the surfboard and other items?? Someone said it might have some additional goodies.I would love to know what. I will get at least 2 of them this time. Thanks for any info, guys
  6. Harry is playing with what little of our minds we have left on this one. There are no cables on the handlebars, wanting us to think it is a model. But,that is what he wants us to believe and vote model.I voted real, but I am going to change mine to model.I am so confused!!!!!
  7. Gregg, I have listed two cars and had no problems. Very nice and easy to use. I will see if I get any action on them. Greg,I see nothing wrong with your listing. What is weird with it???
  8. It is unfortunate that he has to make up a false story to fool us into believing that his mother bought it for him.He must have a very low opinion of himself and wants us to think he had a nice find with memories. I feel sorry for him and will not read any more of his posts.
  9. My wife says it is a model!!!! I know my place in the house and besides,my guessing has not been very good. She says it is a model, and even if it is real,it is still a model to me. :D My (wife's) vote is model!!!!
  10. I voted model because of the depth of field in the photo. The edge of the interior closest to the camera is blurred.
  11. I just looked at completed listings and I saw only 2 sales for about $35.I looked for 2 pages.
  12. Thank you so muck for this post!!!! It brings back many GREAT memories.I had a Stingray, orange without the shifter, single speed. I put a sissy bar on the back.I lived just on the other side of Biscayne Bay and remember riding it to Miami Beach. It was great riding it up and down along the beach.Oh BTW,it had the straight fork,no spring. Boy,do I wish I had it now!!!!!
  13. Bruce, When I could afford to subscribe to any magazine,I think there is an insert in the mag to send in to get back issues. all you had to do was let them know which ones you wanted.I wish I had the income to subscribe as there is nowhere here in Western NC to get one. Hope this helps and is correct.
  14. Hi Kevin,Welcome to the insanity!!!!! Your builds look great.the California Charger is one of my favs and yours looks very nice. I have a fondness for funny cars and it looks like you do also. Good luck and happy building!!!!!
  15. YES!!! There is a swap meet there this year. It is on Feb.18,2012 starting at 9 AM at the Civic Center. For more info, you can contact Allen Hilton at 704-856-1718. I have a flyer he sent me,but have trouble scanning and posting it. I would love to go,but,my car would not make it. They stopped the show part of it several years ago but, they still have a swap meet with vendor tables.
  16. I love your t-shirts!!!! I would buy some,but,I wear a X-Large .
  17. Oh the memories!!!! I used to go to a store that was part of a chain. They had 5 or 6 tracks.I had a Cox controller and several Cox cars. I also had a Manta Ray, Cox Chapperall? and several other cars, motors, parts ETC....
  18. Hey there Doc, Did you mean to put a link to this??? If not, what is the name of the film??? It sounds great.
  19. I am going with model on this one.The wheel openings and other things tell me so!!!! I will find out fri if they were truthful or not.
  20. I would buy one in a heartbeat if I had the money to do so!!!!! Bare bones is where it is at as far as I am concerned.
  21. James, Thank you very much for the info and link!!!!! This is just what I have been looking for. This is what I love about this forum!!!
  22. James, This looks GREAT!!!! You are going in the right direction with this. I have one question. How or what did you use for the black and white floor??? I have been looking for this in scale and can't find anything close. Thanks and keep at it.I will be following this one.
  23. Mike, Those are great pics.Did you shoot any of them??? If you did,are they photoshopped???
  24. To anyone in the know. I was just wondering if the alignment of the front wheels I saw in the test shots have been fixed. They look like they tow out in those shots. I do plan on getting a kit, even though there are a lack of extra funds. Thanks to Art and Dave for taking the time to do it right!!!!!
  25. Brett I remember taking a photo of it long ago of him doing a burnout.I will try to find it if you want and either post it here or send it to you by e-mail or PM. Let me see if I can find it. It was shot at 3/4 front and from above. George
