  7. At 50 /50 It does not flow well, I know many use a mix other than water. I had a bit better luck with Auto Air thinner and water

  12. The thinner is your trick. Water will sorta work so will alcohol. I have had the best luck using Auto Air 4000 series "Airbrush Cleaner" .I always used Tamiya X20 a thinners for all acrylics, now that its hard to find I found this to be equal...Createx also makes this, as Createx is the mother company for Auto Air Technique is the same..higher pressure does help...unless thinned and not reduced...if you use reducer you will need a higher pressure Here is a link for help AUTO AIR PDF info sheets... http://www.autoaircolors.com/products/product_frames.html
  13. I shoot a lot of the metalizers...little if any thinning needed, no primer and dry quickly. Donn Yost uses them as primer.

  17. I get Red Sable, in sets, they were cheaper, I have since doubled up on a couple sizes
  18. You got it now. I am working on the same idea but with a Nascar chassis and full cage....I also swore I will not cut it again...Now I will. Well Done!!
  19. Same thought...I'm not sure he has a front bar... Here is a Boss 302 SCCA car....full cage jammed way up
  20. What ratio of India Ink, water , and Alcholol work best as a wash.....I keep trying different mixes...at least they come off after they do not work. I have used Tamiya flat black mixed 1 : 9 and sticks well. The Ink ?????? Any thoughts? I'm using Higgens non waterproof black....seems to mix well...
  21. That will depend on the transparency of the orange...It might take an extra coat....spray a white spoon, count your coats...do the same with a grey primered spoon..you will get the same color..might take that extra coat. I shoot a lot of oranges, and you get a bit more pop from SOME with a white base
  22. Here are more from that same show....GSL 17 http://www.xmission.com/~msgsl/GSL/17win4.htm
  23. As a Ford man 47 chebbies do not do much for me. That said Galaxies kit was the finest I have ever built....detail, accuracy, and the 1:1 way of building it up...FANTASTIC quality from Wisconsin!!!
  24. Well I think Steve is right on course. What I suspect is in both cases your decals lifted or bubbled...I'm thinking trapped water and that WILL cause both products to fail. If the future fails, strip it with a fresh coat or a windex wash...neither will harm your base paint. Did you clear your Basecoat before the decals? I clear first for a smooth even base, decal....forget about for a while in a box and when I find it again its all dry ready for my final clear. I shoot both TS13 and Duplacolor clears depending on my base color paint.
