  1. Rick...it might....or not. A lot goes into the answer. 1st what color are you painting over ? 2nd what color do you want in the end. ? I shoot duplacolor and overall it is a HOT paint. The primers are the same, if you need to cover and seal in one coat or two you will need a barrier,Future will work and so will Bin...A little more info and we can figgure it out!
  2. OK Put me down for 2 each. I do not even care what it is,,I will buy 2 and build 1 ...or 2....or

  11. If its rock hard, grind it and then use a thinner or carrier....if you take your time it will work. Tip....to prevent this from happening...store the jars lid down, the paint seals the jar for you!!

  16. Ah Tim...the jar stuff is "for airbrush only"... That said, you can brush with it..wet brush, 1 shot as its lacquer....careful!!! I would recommend a good primer base , if you miss a spot...wait until dry (quick) then retouch.. .it does self level to a point, and it is thin when it goes on so stir well
  17. biggest difference is the not opening another window with the forum...we don't need 2 tabs / windows open as that is a waste on the server. It does automatically detect and tag external link...then it will open a second....on that server.....I think it will speed things up, and slow Greggs $$$ down a bit
  18. This is the link to the MCM Forums RESIN So type it in, highlight it, then go up and use the link window.....
  19. Agree with Curtis....I love both the buffable and non buffable aluminum metalizers..by using or not using the sealer, you get 4 different shades of aluminum. Then some washes or powders , the look is endless....heres some roof panels...I have dulled them down to look like steel sheets On this one the aircleaner was dulled but the front bumper wasn't...you can see the difference with the same color

  23. We need the railroads, But what happened with the ICC and the regulation of freight is the industries turned to containerized freight and as the ocean shippers shipped more, they standardized the whole thing ...in the end it has worked out, but the cost to the railroads stuck to maintaining useless branch lines , mandated by outdated and stubborn contracts was bankruptcy. In the end the federal govt was ordered to take over the bloated inefficient carriers and we all still pay. The reality today is freight railroads shipping modern 4 container cars are the best way to ship hard goods coast to coast. People are a different story....High speed rail in the state of FL has been hot for years...reality....doesn't have enough need to make it work . If you want to take a fun trip...book an Amtrak sleeper to the coast...it really is fun...not cheap...I rode the BN and SOO between northern IL and WI for years...still remember the neat scenery only seen by rail....
  24. You can also mix up a slurry of hydrocal and put the n scale cinder ballast into it...I would precolor the hydrocal with some black acrylic in the water, then mix the hydrocal up. If you use a 3" wide brush you can "paint"it on...as long as it is thin it will self level....I used a similar tech on the swamp werkes...
  25. That's one of the best complements here....and Ed is spot on!! Beautiful work!!
