  1. JB Weld...little harder to work with..go slow and it will be the best
  2. Looked like a total burnout to me...... ;)
  3. I would have to agree with the dullkote. It will take 3 or 4 light mist coats to look correct. I did this T Bolt air cleaner and front bumper with dullkote The rear bumper was left alone as it was chrome The wheels were done in Metalizers
  4. Only liked cars and trucks..did do a few slot cars back in the day. As I lived down the street from Brooke Stevens and his sons I saw a lot of unique cars on a daily basis. This was when Excaliber was in its prime....
  5. Model Express Dennis..great source. Fair prices , shipping is always faster than you can think...and if you don't see it...email him ;)
  6. You need to wait longer on the future application. Looks like the lacquer dried (shrunk) and the future cracked. Windex or ammonia will remove the future w/o harming lacquer. Great kit....heres some thoughts for you!
  7. mike..get an Ardun flattie for that woodie...Power and looks.....It comes in the 50 ford pu from revell The R&M blower looks great on this one..
  8. Love the engine detail...... Puts this one over the top!!
  9. I wouldn't use the FE 427 in it...use the kits Ardun(great motor) or drop a SOHC in it. I just did the Ardun in mine... http://www.modelcars...showtopic=38857
  10. The build up is in #154............CHARLES!!!!!!
  11. Saw Greggs review in #154.....are you going to get an USA distributor.??..Postage from Down Under is a bit $$$ for a set or 2
  12. I'm cheap...flat white primer.....for yellowing, a wash of thinned clear orange, then paint the fluid with clear blue...This Impala was just restored so the bottle is still white
  13. Hey dub! I use Tamiya acrylics for washing. Flat Black is the most common I thin in a 1 drop Paint to 10 drops thinner (rubbing alcohol works) ratio. flow it on, sometimes using as many as 10 applications to get it to fill fully and be black enough. After dry I lightly burnish the high spots with a bit of balsa wood. Heres a few of them.... Note..not just grills, but dashboards and motors also!!
  14. I subscribe due to the lack of any Hobby shops that carry them within a 3 hour drive (remember ol Gilligan ???)
  15. Talk to Count Chucky about doing the Farmall nose....I'm out of fenders!!
  16. I think its a must for a good rat.. So I will need a few ....Sorry Chuck...... it is Kooler than the Farmall nose.....
  17. Now I won't be able to slowly enjoy 154..
  18. That Ardun is a 3 D model....Google Ardun Flathead to find it
  19. I'm playing with the same kit now...If you want to slam it low, and use the kits mag wheels, check here: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=22840&pid=412475&st=20&#entry412475
  20. Sounds like a flow problem..sanding is not the issue here. Not knowing what kind of paint we are using, you might need a retarder or thinner added to the paint to let it level out. Also if primed, 1 stroke with color,do not "go over it" you will get an uneven surface...
  21. I used Ultrasonic cleaners in the shop daily for cleaning sub assemblies intact. In order to use less cleaner (solvent) I put water and a drop of dawn in the tank, I then used a pyrex beaker suspended into that....lot easier to clean out the beaker than the tank. I switched over the years to Limomene concentrates made from citrus working well...but boy does it smell sweet!! I had a larger tank than Micro Marts unit...but Mine was a $400.00 dollar tool.....and yes, Harry they will clean your dentures...just don't leave them in too long!!
  22. Well..check the records..Farve was the best...PERIOD...stats, records do speak for themselves. as far as a class act..shucks brett lost that 7 or 8 years ago. most Packer fans can vouch for that...BUT always support your team And remember the fact that he wanted no part of mentoring AAron....Steve Young took up that task....I think that is the secret..along with attitude and desire to uphold tradition...The Packer Tradition is much older than Farve...I remember a soft spoken 14th round draft choice....Bart.....BART STARR ;) 13 Time World Champions ....REAL TRADITION and now AAron is part of it..Earned by attitude and team spirit....Top 3 QB in all books.... Sorry...been a great week...GO PACK
  23. try posting the Kill Billet link on hamb......20 min or less..you could be banned http://www.killbillet.com/index.php
  24. Yes you can run a dual engine MC. Growing up in Wisconsin riding Harleys the BIG ENEMY of all was T C Christenson and the Hogslayer twin engine top fuel NORTON,,,Read all about how he did the design ,,the slipper clutch from a dozer...yep http://www.motorcyclemuseum.org/halloffame/detail.aspx?RacerID=374 As to the Harley or not...I sure would not want to sit behind a wide eight cylinder...muchless twin Harleys. Power needed? I run a S&S 107" V twin with a mild tune 110 HP 114 ft lbs @ the rear wheel. I run a single 240mm Metzler with a six speed and can lay rubber as long as I can afford tires. So be Unique..CBX 6 cylinder..gives you your look, one transmission..use a jackshaft to center the sprocket..
