This will be different, bring it on!

I got some work done on this baby tonight, I finished up all the foil work, and I'm very happy with how it came out! And I finished it all off with the windshield, and drilled a pair of holes on the doors for the side mirrors. If I get the time tomorrow, I'll get started on attaching the rims to the chassis!
-
Thanks to all who voted, I now have the rims I want to use for this build. When I combined the votes here and the ones over on Scale Avenue, I ended up with a tie between choices 1 & 16, so I flipped a coin and the SSR rims won out (Choice #1), I was pulling for those because I want to get 'em out of my rim box!

Alyn, that working boom is great! Now you've raised the bar another dozen or so notches, thanks buddy!

Great work so far Bill, I could watch you build all day! And you'll love that Trumpeter panel scriber, it's the best tool I've ever bought! -
Beautiful work Travis, great color for that car too! The vinyl top looks great, I did the same thing recently and was amazed at how easy it was to do with masking tape!

What color is on the second one Eric? -
Luke, a few of those pics look good enough to pass off as the real thing, great building and really great photography!
-
Congrats on the cover Marcos, you earned it with this beauty!
-
I'm waiting to watch you ruin this poor car Chuck, get to it!
-
Luke, that is the best looking Dukes Charger I've ever seen, great work! I love the graphics, and the slammed stance is just right, give yourself a pat on the back! You turned a Sow's Ear into the proverbial Silk Purse!
-
Beautiful paint Josh, the green stripe really sets it off nicely! Nice work on stuffing the 'Vette running gear under it too, looks like it was made for it!
-
It looks great, I'm gonna steal that trick for myself! If you paint the textured area Black or Gray, it would look perfect as the underhood insulation!
-
Pat, how did you do this to the underside of the hood? It looks like a kit part!
-
Kenny, this is absolutely stunning, the last picture of the interior looks like you're looking into the real car! I have one of these too, and I've gotta know, how did you get the steering wheel to look so perfectly accurate, and where did you get the houndstooth decals/inlays/whatever you used for the seats?
-
Brizio, you are GOOD! I'm just starting to scracthbuild stuff, I've still got a long way to go before I tackle some of the things you've done, bravo!
-
Here's my scratchbuilt stuff, a full wooden bed floor made from Basswood, some styrene strips for the reatining straps, tiny little bolts for the straps, and some straight pins for the fender bolts. Next are the scratch made tail lights with straightpin "Blue Dots", and a gas filler neck and cap made from aluminum tubing and some sprue. The entire bed floor (Top and bottom) is all wood, I made a duplicate of the plastic bed floor for the bottom side with all the proper mounting tabs, cut strips for the top side, stained it all and put it together! The new tail light lenses are some Red plastic I got from an old motion detector I replaced at work one day.... This is simply two different sizes of aluminum tubing fit together for the filler neck, and the cap was the same tubing with a piece of sprue shoved into it and shaped. I added a very fine piece of wire to the cap and ran it down the filler neck so the tiny little cap wouldn't get lost on me!

Beautiful work on the axle and boom Alyn, and the rest looks equally good! You never cease to amaze me with the detail in your builds, you are gonna make this one actually run, right? LOL

Corey, it will defintely be a one-of-a-kind model, I like the way you're thinking! Now you've gotta go with some kind of killer pearl or candy color!
