  1. Probably a good idea to buy the aftermarket pieces. Then take them to the craft store and find what best replicates the aftermarket parts and then buy enough for forever.
  2. It was a gruesome sight. Our intrepid reporter, Harry Gearhead, said the explosion shattered windows for a three mile radius.
  3. Wow. I'm working on the identical build. Same engine and everything.
  4. That's putting it mildly. I would have thrown it away. Maybe you still should.
  5. Wow. That is some impressive work for an experienced modeler, let alone someone new to the hobby. Obi Wan has taught you well. Now - how did you do the camo pattern on the truck?
  6. That is the Bad Man kit. Sounds good though, yer in.
  7. Welcome to the forum. Looking forward to seeing your work.
  8. It might not be popular anymore, but I think most hot rodders still have a soft spot for pro-street. It is street to strip taken to the Nth degree and there's something cool about that. We still see quite a bit of it here on the forum. I do not have any pro-street builds planned, but I sure wish you luck on this CBP.
  9. Just curious.
  10. Hey that's pretty nice.
  11. Very good work. I attempted that kit years ago, but everything was so twisted all I accomplished was migraines.
  12. Working on my gasser.
  13. Cliff do you access to a camera with a macro setting? That would help you take much better pics.
  14. Looks cool! Get to it!
  15. Thanks Art. Good advice. It is also clear you are a much more patient man than I.
  16. I have no problem with folks building the same kit. After all we are here to support each other, so the experience of one will only help the other. I'll add you to the roster if you are sure you wanna go that route.
  17. That chassis from the '70 is just wonderful. It fits most any 1/25 full size mopar with just a little trimming. I did an MPC '67 Charger with one. This looks like its coming along nicely.
  18. Very nicely done.
  19. Whoa. Good luck with that. I've added you to the roster.
  20. Whatcha gonna do for a chassis Mike? That kit comes with a lump of plastic that resembles a chassis if you've jabbed yourself in the eyes a couple of times.
  21. So everything will be in a muted color so that the build in the center pops big time eh?
  22. Jim, the tip is abrasive. Effectively a sanding pen.
  23. Little update. I hope to be in primer tomorrow. Gonna be in Testors One Coat Lacquer Purple-Licious.
  24. I've seen a few. Here's a threa don the subject at the HAMB. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=545945
