The pirate themed Merc is in design limbo for the time being. Also all the fabric added to the interior has become a fitment nightmare and I'm not sure what to do with it at this time. But all in all, I'm glad I got this one done. Here's hoping 2013 is better for the bench.

I'd start with the 800 until the orange peep is nearly gone and then finish up with something higher.

I really like this. Maybe look into some of the art deco luxo-cruisers from the 30's and 40's and check out some of their styling cues. Because I think you are very close to that now.

I would wet sand it smooth and the reshoot with a similar color using better paint. The purple stuff will attack the putty. Trashing something this cool? No friggin' way.

Johann, just an idea for your '39. I'm building one now and just noticed that the Revell 1/24 '37 Ford kit has BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH near the same wheelbase as the '39 Chevy. The '37 chassis fits nicely, has good wheels/tires, and a decent interior. The '37 also comes with a chevy small block. It would be a no-brainer to kitbash the two.
