  1. Heh, we get the idea. Looks like a great research source.
  2. Wait a sec Ed, aren't you one of those "never have, never will" guys when it comes to contests? Or am I thinkin' of someone else?
  3. Excellent thought dude. You are gonna score some serious hubby points. My hats off to you.
  4. Hmm.......as I recall, the Delorean was a darn heavy car for it's size due to the stainless steel. Seems to me that would be counter productive in an electric car which is already gonna have extra weight due to the battery cells.
  5. Yep, looks like a classic barn find. Nice and gunky. Good work.
  6. Excellent work Joe. Well done.
  7. Get rid of the enamel and find some Testors One-Shot lacquers.
  8. Great pics thanks. It was a good time.
  9. Being in a CBP always helps motivate me to getting a model completed. So I'm kicking around the idea of starting a CBP for everyone's half-done and set back on the shelf model builds. Any model at all. Post it up, get some feedback, get re-motivated and get it done. No end date. My plan is to finish every (around six I figure) WIP build I have before I crack open a new one. Any interest?
  10. They look great Doc. I have one of these cooling it heels on my shelf. I'm undecided on how to build it. I like the tri-power idea though.
  11. Looks great. Love the color.
  12. Ah, not necessarily. The definition of most any automotive term: hot rod, donk, muscle car, rat rod are always open to a persons personal opinion and have been debated vehemently on this forum more than once. If you asked most anyone what my car is in the above pic, they would call it a rat rod. Just because it's not rusty or poorly built it's not a "rat"?
  13. You are missing my point. I'm an engineering technician. If my son wants to become a skydiver, I WILL support him. If he does and dies doing so, I will mourn. But I will not have a measure of guilt. Because my life and my decisions have not had a bearing on how he died. It will be all on him. His decisions, his actions. As for who is in control, we'll just have to agree to disagree on that one.
  14. I'm glad not everyone shares your views. My rat rod whipped every glossy street machine in the class (much to my surprise) and won Best Kitbash. You can't judge something by the blanket term "rat rod".
  15. Hmm............bad news. Water pump, radiator and hoses all need to be replaced. The previous owner never flushed the radiator and it's all full of gunk. Nearly no coolant flow. Going for estimates now.
  16. Odds. There is a terrifiic difference between a job with hazards and a job where you life is on the line every second.
  17. Buy a yard sale sign (styrene) and make an template of your curve on a piece of it, tape it to the model and use it as your guide.
  18. Check out our gallery. It's up on the tool bar. Welcome to the forum.
  19. Great input everyone.
  20. What he said.
  21. Sam, you need to build "before and after" replicas. Seriously.
  22. LOL. Now I DO have to!
  23. Out of curiosity what makes you ask, and no sorry, I haven't.
