  1. Okay the flooring is in and an working on the staining. Also working on the top. The frame is complete. It was cut from the removed piece of the roof. Still working on the front seat. And the streering wheel.
  2. Arr... matey's, I still be hard at work on the pirate themed Merc.
  3. Yeah. A very cool idea. I like it.
  4. Very interesting. I'll be following this one.
  5. Jim, that is very nice! The only thing I'd like to see different is some of that color on the primary cover.
  6. I think he meant that he just had never seen that particular model before.
  7. Philo it's very cool that you feel this way and are taking the criticism in stride. We see a lot of folks that don't take these sort of responces well. If you are happy with the end result, that's what matters because it's gonna be on your shelf not mine. I'll give you kudos, just for taking an unusual subject, having a vision and seeing it through. Nice work.
  8. Yep, somebody call Ralph Nader!
  9. Looking forward to that!
  10. Nice work. I do love those colors.
  11. Turbo that abviously took you a little while to throw together. I'd like to thank you for taking the time to help a brother out, so to speak. Well done.
  12. My favorite car is the 66/67 Charger, which Hot Wheels released in '01 I beiieve. So the only thing I collect is various versions/paint jobs of this one car. If anyone has one they are willing to trade, drop me an PM.
  13. Great stuff Cesar! I particularly liked seeing the Wacky Races cars.

  15. Below your photos are 4 lines of code. just copy the line that is marked IMG code into the reply box. Very easy. Oh and, very nice work. We don't see this one built very often, but you sure knocked it out of the park. More pics please.
  16. Ninety nine times out of one hundred the only time we really get bent out of shape on spelling/grammar is when we get a post like this. And if you think I'm exaggerating, I assure you I'm not. "so i wuz in my hoby shop yestrday and saw this trumper kit or sumpin and saw the prise was 50 bucs and i was like no %&$@'in way so if any of u have 1 that you don want id really like 1 cuz i hav this reely great idea 4 a promod edsel or maybe il donkit! LOL!!! " All we ask is that a person grace us with a capital in the front, a form of punctuation separating sentences and the use of spell check is very easy for anyone to do, it just takes a little more effort. Honestly is that so hard?
  17. The Rat Packer is supposed to represent a 63 if I'm not mistaken.
  18. Quite right. Aside from some design issues that don't really trip my trigger, the craftsmanship and engineering in this thing are really a marvel. It might not be your personal best, but it's a best of show contender in any contest I've been in.
  19. Something Corvette-ish is definitely getting kicked around the 'ol knoggin'. Thanks.
  20. Thanks guys. Great advice, I'll look into finding that video.
  21. Got some flooring done. This is 1/32" balsa laid down in 4mm strips. It will be stained/painted to match the door panels. More soon.
  22. Chilly. Yeah, I've been around a while and have been getting by on Duplicolor lacquers for a while now. I've gotten a few cans of Model Master One Shots and Tamiya and have used them with great success. But I haven't decanted them yet. Are they thin enough to shoot or are you thinning them? If so with what? I have one project that really needs a nice gloss paint job, but I've done some body work which I DON'T want to have to redo if it has to take a purple dip. Thanks in advance. And Doug, you are quite right. If I'd started a rant about this or that, this would be a 12 page thread by now. Jim, where are you ordering your paint from?
