  1. Looks great so far. Looking forward to more.
  2. Riz, you are absolutely welcome. Lets see whatcha got.
  3. The issue my folks had with my models was the clutter. Boy, that would set my Mom off like a roman candle. Boxes open on my desk and floor, pieces laying about as the paint dried. Sprayed bodies hanging from the garage clothes line. Stacks of boxes in the garage and my closet. And don't even get me started about the Easy-Off on the model body in the kitchen sink. My Dad was cool with it, but my Mom was another story. In order to keep the peace though, I did have to learn to be neater about my building and storage. A habit that my wife really appreciates. I can't add anything to the already excellent and inspiring advice you have gotten, except maybe to try to keep the models from her line of sight. If they don't impact her life, she will stop worrying about them. In theory anyway.
  4. Although I'm a native Tampan (no laughing now!), I'd really like to see the Cubbies go the distance. My last station while in the service was in St. Louis and involved a lot of travel throughout the midwest. Chicago was regular stop for us. My good buddy was a native and lifelong Cubs fan so I saw a lot of Wrigley field. I really grew to love the Cubs fans there. The nicest people, rain or shine, win or crushing loss. So for the sake of those most excellent folks...... Go Cubbies!
  5. My apologies. I meant no offense. But you showed us a dozen pics, with no underhood or chassis shots. Other seem to know you by reputation. Until now I did not. So you might understand why I assumed it was a diecast. Glad to have you here on the forum. Rob
  6. That would be this one, by Revell. A poor kit by any standard. The fender flares were molded in, so I don't think he means this one.
  7. Nice diecast.
  8. Now there is the truth of it. Just trying to get 3-4 hours strung together to sit down and do some stuff is hard to do when dealing with everything life throws at you. I once tried to tell my wife I wanted to just chill with a model for a three day weekend that I had truly earned. Her laughter is still ringing in my ears. It was evil. It's kinda funny though. She truly supports my hobby and doesn't get irritated when I spend a little money on this or that, but boy she sure is stingy with my time.
  9. Nothing new on the Spartan, been working on other things. I have 4 CBP builds going at once. I'm such an ultra-maroon.
  10. Where did you get the webs? They would be perfect for a future build I'm planning. Fantastic work.
  11. Okay no one's got a clue yet. Here's a hint. The last line was said by actor George Kennedy who was playing one of his usual charming roles.
  12. I guess that one was too easy. Here's my next one. Some fun car chases in this one. "So why did you try to kill him then?" "Because we were friends."
  13. The man is good. You got it. Here's my next one. "I'll tell you something. This country is going to the dogs. You know, it used to be when you bought a politician, that SOB stayed bought."
  14. Dennis, you absolutely have the right idea. Let us see how it comes out.
  15. We have a winner, great job! Here's my next one. "That's a curious name for a motorcar." "But that's the sound it makes. Listen."
  16. Nope. Who's next? "This is STILL the United States of America, *** ###### it! Los Angeles, California! Land of the free, home of the... " "Rams and the Dodgers!"
  17. I've done a SK inspired build myself. Mine was inspired by the Stand/ Dark Tower series. Here's the Cougar and the dio-base I did for it. http://s53.photobucket.com/albums/g73/Jantrix/dio-base/ As for your idea, it is the opinion of MOST SK fans that the demon Pennywise was some sort of agent/creation of the Crimson King (Dark Tower). What his attatchment was to Derry remains uncertain. His true form was some sort of giant spider creature as I recall. But as Pennywise delighted in killing tormenting children, I would suggest some sort demented form of a vehicle that children like or frequent. A clown car, ice cream truck, school bus. Colors would be muted dark shades of the bright primary colors usually found on such vehicles. But maybe I'm thinking too much into it. Which is what I do.
  18. My Cousin Vinny. Here's one for you. A great cast in this one, and some great scenes of nun harrassment. "This is STILL the United States of America, *** ###### it! Los Angeles, California! Land of the free, home of the... " "Rams and the Dodgers!"
  19. Looking good Diymirage. I LIKE IT!
  20. You are correct sir! Good work. I'll have to find an even tougher one now.
  21. Okay folks heres one for for you. This one should seperate the men from the boys. "You don't understand what happens, do you? They make ten thousand cars, they make them exactly the same way, and one or two of 'em turn out to be something special. Nobody knows why."
  22. Deathproof. Awesome flick.
  23. Thanks guys the welded seams (doors/trunk/shutter) were done by taking a very thin piece of solder pounded flat, glued in place and then scored with a #11, to give it a welded metal appearance, very simple to do. Have begun the weapons, which my kids are really digging. It will consist of one surplus M2 .50 caliber machine gun and 8 LAW anti-tank rockets. And a few other surprises.
  24. This one is ultra easy, but it remains my all time favorite movie quote. "There is no way, that you could come from my loins. When I get home I'm gonna punch your mama in the mouth." Gleason is a legend and he MADE that movie the fun icon that it is today. Well him and the car that is.
  25. The Predicta show car maybe?
