Hi there, I took on this rather average Fujimi 90's kit. It comes with 16 inch stock wheels which will not only look kinda "lost" in the wheel wells, but will also make the whole car sit way too high. So the decision to switch the wheels was made at an early stage. I chose to use 19 inch wheels and tyres from an Aoshima Mazda RX7 kit. Other than that, the kit is done OOB. Painted in Tamiya TS-40 and 2K clear from the can. The interior is done in Tamiya Nato Black.

Well done. Nice to see that this kind of quality model is possible from this kit. I have the hardtop version of the same 92 kit in my stash. I do believe that it’s actually the same kit, as you can build both options. I planned on going for the open car version anyway, but certainly after seeing your great result.

Fantastic model. The front bumper could use a tiny bit of adjustment, but other than that, this is just perfect.

Great job, well done! I think these brownish/ copper paints do look great on any historic gen Mustang! Myself I did a mix of clear orange and chrome silver on my 66 build back then.

Typical German road car, LOL. This really stands out, great work and nice details like the plates from the city of Guetersloh (which is only some miles from where I live) and the Nordschleife sticker on the engine cover.

Looks nice! I like the late foxbodies, and the shape of the LX adds to the variety. I plan on doing an LX in Calypso Green in the foreseeable future. Again, well done.

Many thanks guys! Well, I recommend it. There is another variant of the same kit for a "custom corvette", with a raised custom hood and turbine wheels (red model shown on the box top). I will be looking out for that one, too. Thanks, the color is a metallic green from the can by German brand Multona. If you need more details, let me know.

Hi there, this snap kit was much better than expected and offers a nice body shape, unlike other kits (Arii 1982 Corvette, for instance). I did some detailing on the interior and body but mostly concentrated on the paint job. Great fun to build! It has to be said that the kit has not much to do with the actual "Turbo Vette", but depicts a regular 1980 model (if I'm not mistaken). But that was just what I was looking to build.

Hello everyone, I took on an old kit from AMT. It is the Chevy Nova 76 in the "Street Machine" version. Since the kit only contains parts for a drag version, but I wanted to build a largely stock version, I had to use some parts from the '72 Chevy Nova SS (AMT also) kit. This affected the wheels and tires as well as the back seat. I replaced the very poorly fitting glass part from the kit with inserts I made myself from transparent Evergreen Sheet. Since the kit and its chassis were only designed for the drag version, I had to scratch build a mount to hold the stock wheels and tires. The exterior mirrors, the gear stick and the decals for the tire labeling came from the parts box. The boday was painted in light ivory and chocolate brown, 1K clear coat on top of that. The model is inspired by a corresponding vehicle from the TV series "The Americans": (Copyright: www.imcdb.org) I didn't manage to compensate all downsides of the kit, but I hope there is some similarity to the original car.
