  1. Stanley, It look like you're off to a good start with the motor and suspension details. Are you going to put a shock absorber down through the middle of the front springs? Regards,
  2. No...no trick questions here...I've just noticed that a lot of people on this forum are from Florida. Interestingly enough, it's one of the few states that I've never visited.
  3. That's starting to look dangerous, Jonathan!! All you need to do now is sand ALL of the tread off of the tires and you're there!! It's making me want to get started on the 40 Ford pickup that I've been think about for a while!
  4. Randy, I have only 3 things to say to you about your Pontiac: 1) I love Pontiacs...and this one is no exception!! 2) Your '49 Merc makes a "nice" avatar, but this one kicks it's ___! 3) You need to put it in a box and mail it to me! I've already made room for it in my display case!! GREAT BUILD!!
  5. Now that just looks dangerous!! Yeah, baby!! Get in, sit down, shut up, hang the "F" on!!! That is just way too cool!!

Too cool, James!! And the diorama base makes it look that much better!!
  7. Welcome, Ron!! So, just how many modelers on this forum are from Florida?!
  8. Virgil, That is looking GREAT!!! One question; "Are there any hidden "messages" in the grafitti?" One comment; with a can of spray paint in his hand, the figure from your original pics would look great in this scene. Good job, as usual!!
  9. I agree with Robert, I don't understand why your covering the engine and I like the higher version of the chopped top much better.
  10. Virgil, That one may not fit into a peanut butter lid, but it'll look pretty cool, just the same!!! The shading on the figure looks really good!! Too many people paint them without doing any highlights or shading, and it seems to distract from the realistic image that they're trying to portray. That's going to be a lot of fun weathering and painting all of the grafitti on the car!!
  11. That's too cool, Virgil!! How many of them do you have built?! I build a lot of 1:25 "backyard mechanic" dioramas, typically 7" x 9". I sell them at a friend's diecast model store and at the local model shows to help pay for my other obsession, diecast engines and cars. My wife says that she just doesn't understand the attraction of a 1:6 engine sitting on a stand. I don't know any way to explain it to her other than "because it just looks cool!". Keep building and posting,
  12. Thanks for all of the compliments, guys!! Like I said, I've had this one a long time. It's one of my favorites.
  13. Very nice restoration, Scott!! I always liked the Bud cars!!
  14. Thanks for the link!!
  15. Very nice work, Virgil!! I prefer small dioramas, and you nailed it with getting it all into a peanut butter lid!!
  16. Albert, Great looking builds!! Do you have a team of people building for you?! You must have quite a large collection of finished models!!
  17. Ismael, After seeing your last build I'm sure that this thing will look excellent when it's done!! Please keep posting WIP pics!! It's great to see these things get built!!
  18. Thanks, guys!! I called the LHS this morning and ordered the Pegasus 23" T's. I found the product number on the Pegasus Hobbies website that Rollin posted. More good news, the LHS finally got my order of BMF, so now I can start making a bit of progress again on this beast!
  19. Great, Mike!! And, thanks!! Yes, I want a tire with a 1 1/8" OD. Do you have a Pegasus product number for the Chrome T's with the bigger wheel/tire combination? With that I can call my LHS and see if they have them in stock or get them ordered. Thanks again to all of you for all your help,
  20. Great illustrations, Dwayne!! Thanks!! That'll keep a lot of modern dragster builders busy for a while!! Regards,
  21. Thanks for the prompt reply, Don! That's how I do mine, too. I know some guys clear over their BMF, supposedly to keep it in place...but I've never had problems with it coming loose once I burnish it down. Regards,
  22. Very nice, Dale!! How about a few more pics!!
  23. Very nice, Brian!! I like the "mostly" stock look!! You're correct, this really is a great kit to build. I've got the sedan and a rag-top built with several more in the garage...
  24. Very nice finish, Don!! Did you clear over the BMF?
