  1. Well, if Michael, Virgil and Olle are in on this one then we'd better put on our "game faces" because these guys definitely know how to build junkers!!
  2. I think that he was referring to Steve H, but then he ended up at the wrong restaurant...or...maybe that's where everyone that Milt is wondering about ended up! Hmmmmmmmmmm....maybe it was really Steve's NNL that everyone went to! Now I'm thoroughly confused... Steve, help us out here...
  3. Those fenders are right on the money for what he built! Oh yeah...I can still hear the soundtrack playin' after all these years!!
  4. Interesting point, Milt...and until you mentioned it in this post, I had forgotten that you had done all of that work ahead of time to try to get new builders to attend. Unfortunately, I don't have an answer for you. Maybe Randy V from RC Hobbies might know, since he was one of several of the LHS' that handed out the fliers...you might ask him. Either way, please don't let the unwillingness of others to participate in Milt's NNL discourage you from doing it again. We all had a great time and will gladly do it again. Regards,
  5. OK, Bernard, I was a little skeptical when you told me that you were going to channel this one, only because I think that the ’32 frame rails are so nicely sculpted and it’s a bit of a shame to hide them. But, it looks GREAT!! I can’t wait to see this one finished!!
  6. Bernard, Welcome back!! You should be very proud of this build!! I wish that I could do this well at anything after coming back from a 40+ year break!! The "look" is right on the money!!! Everything about it is period correct and fits together very well! I can hear the soundtrack from "American Graffitti" playing in the background!! Very nice, my friend, very nice indead!!
  7. Very convincing look, Virgil!! The weathering is well done without being overdone. Thanks for sharing another great build,
  8. That's pretty funny, Milt!! PE=photo etched...and I've got just the perfect project in mind for you...
  9. Look at our old pal Milt taking the "who, me?" stance on this one...That's OK, you know what the say about paybacks! It'll take me a little while, but I'll find just the perfect kit or PE set for you to "win" at the next event...
  10. It was rigged!! Milt went into this whole "whoever wins the next prize has to build it and post step-by-step pics on the forum..." routine. I knew I was in trouble before he even called my name!! I was setup from the start!! You'll get it in the mail later this week...so, even though you couldn't make it, you're the grand prize winner!!
  11. I'm glad that you liked it! Yes, it does smell pretty good, or at least better than Testors enamel... I've heard that they're currently reformulating the stuff to brush on even better...
  12. OK, so now we've got pictures posted of everyone that attended Milt's NNL, except of course for Michael. Michael, post a recent pic of your mug so anyone who's interested in seeing the entire motley crew of misfits knows what you look like!
  13. Sounds good to me, Milt...as long as you don't bring another DONK kit and rig the "raffle" so that I win it! Yes, I'll mail it to Kevin this week. He wants it. Thanks,
  14. I was wondering what happened to you...you were the only one that didn't make it. Oh well, we'll catch you next time!
  15. Bernard, The exhaust system looks GREAT!! I really like the way you formed the pipes to perfectly fit around the tranny, frame and suspension!! Very nice!! You're right, that tranny is big, but you got it to fit in there pretty well! Later,
  16. And here are a few other pictures of the cars and people that were there: Thanks again, Milt!!
  17. Thank you, Milt!! What a GREAT idea!! And the food was good, too!! Since this was more about new and old friends getting together to show and talk about models, here's the people first. L-to-R is: Milt "NNL" Meyer (M408), and Randy Vandraiss. L-to-R is: Ron Garbez (Ronster), Brian Soderstrum (Bsoder) and Jerry Cardinal (dontgobrassit). L-to-R is: Bill Just (jbwelda) and Curt Raitz (curt raitz) Pictured is Brendan Howden (Brendan) Michael Stoneman (Roadkill2525) came a bit late and avoided getting his picture taken, but I did get a couple of pictures of his current builds, the Monte Carlo, the Chevy S10 cab... ...and, his Integra and his Civic.
  18. That looks great, Ray, but how about a few more pics?!
  19. It looks like this one's just about ready to head "Under Glass"!! Looking good, Mike!!
  20. Pretty wild, Virgil, pretty wild!! That background you build works well for this car, too!!
  21. He's space constrained in the engine compartment, so he's going to go with distributorless coil-packs in the trunk.
  22. Anthony, Aren't you coming up for the big (or is that BIGGS) IPMS meeting on Saturday? I won't be there because I've got "stuff" to do with my wife tomorrow, but I'll be at Milt's NNL on Sunday. Later,
  23. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's amazing what a little paint will do to completely change to look of a build! Looking good, Mike!! Don't stop now!!
  24. "Kevin Morrison...come on down!!!" AND...bring Anthony with you! Date: Sunday, April 20, 2008 Time: Noon Place: Luigi's Pizza & Pasta South end of Campbell Plaza Shopping Center 2495 Winchester Blvd. Campbell Ca. 95008 (408) 378-6862
  25. Hey Clay, Since you know the time and the place, does this mean that you'll be making a guest appearance? "Clayton Jones...come on down!!!"
